About Malieu Cafe
Malieu Cafe is a halal brunch cafe at 117 The Vale in London, open daily. The menu is halal throughout and also caters to vegetarians and vegans, so mixed groups can order from the same list. The Malieu Brisket Benedict anchors the egg dishes, while the French Riviera French toast and the Wild West pancakes cover the sweeter side of the menu. A full English comes with eggs, sausages, hash browns and toast. Drinks include a chai latte and a blueberry matcha. Weekends, especially Saturday, get busy, and an online queuing system manages the wait.

Customer Review Summary
The English breakfast is the dish reviewers return to most, with praise for the eggs, sausages, hash browns and toast, and for generous portions described as well cooked and full of flavour. Close behind are the French Riviera, singled out for its French toast, and the brisket Benedict, called very flavorful. The chai and blueberry matcha also earn compliments. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, welcoming and attentive, even when the cafe is busy, and the mood as lively yet relaxed. The one detailed complaint comes from a reviewer whose Turkish eggs arrived scrambled instead of poached. Staff first said they would have to accept it, and the kitchen remade them only after a manager stepped in, leaving the rest of the meal cold. The same reviewer found the signature beans tasted canned, the matcha watered down and a waitress rude while clearing the table. Another reviewer notes Saturdays get packed but an online queue helps. Servers also steered diners toward the halloumi fries and the Wild West pancakes.

“Like most of my reviews I’ll start off with the positives: -cosy vibe, well decorated -interesting choice of variety on the menu However some key points of concern and criticism: -the menu states that the Turkish eggs are served with poached eggs, but when the food arrived the eggs were scrambled. When this was pointed out to staff initially we were told that because of an error with the chef we have to just deal with it. This was highly unprofessional and lucky a manager/ supervisor over heard our complaints and stepped in to get the kitchen to remake the eggs. However this meant the rest of the food we ordered had to go cold. - the sujuk did not taste fresh - the old English breakfast states that it comes with baked beans, but for an extra cost you can upgrade to malieu signature beans. I opted to go for the signature with it being a celebratory brunch occasion. When the beans arrived, they were far from signature. They tasted like they had been spooned straight out of a can. -the matcha tasted watered down and if I hadn’t specifically ordered a matcha, I would have been mistaken that I had been served blueberry milk. - the waitress cleared things off the table with a rude attitude despite us still taking the time to finish our drinks. All in all, unprofessional and not worth the experience. I suggest to review the standards and quality of food in your first branch before opening a second branch!”

“Visited Malieu Cafe for a weekend brunch and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, making it a great spot to catch up with family or friends. The food was beautifully presented, fresh, and packed with flavour, with generous portions that were definitely worth it. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and made us feel well looked after despite how busy the café was. The chai was excellent and complemented the meal perfectly. If you’re looking for a quality halal brunch in West London, I would highly recommend Malieu Cafe. It’s easy to see why it’s so popular, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu!”

“Amazing little gem of a place, simple but nice decor, cosy little cafe a perfect spot to meet up with friends and eat. I had the full English which was well cooked and a decent portion. A touch on the pricey side but worth it. Coffees were great too”

“Amazing Breakfast and Great Atmosphere I had a really good experience at Malieu Cafe in Acton and it’s easy to see why the place is so popular. The atmosphere was lively, welcoming, and relaxed, making it a great place to sit and enjoy brunch. I ordered an English breakfast and everything tasted fresh, well prepared, and full of flavour. The quality of the ingredients really stood out, especially the eggs, sausages, hash browns, and toast. The portions were generous and the whole meal was very satisfying. The café itself was very clean and well presented, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout my visit. Overall, a fantastic brunch spot that never disappoints and definitely somewhere I’d happily come back to again.”
