About The Moon Under Water
The Moon Under Water is a Wetherspoon pub at 28 Leicester Square in London, where tea and Lavazza coffee come with free refills all day, every day, and breakfast is served until noon. Later meals bring Eggs Benedict and gourmet burgers, with deli deal options and vegetarian choices on the same menu. Real ales sit on the drinks list alongside craft beers, gins and soft drinks. This is a smaller pub, and tables cannot be reserved, so guests wait until one frees up. Orders are placed at the bar or through the Wetherspoon app.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the value of this Leicester Square Wetherspoon, with several calling it a good-priced option for central London even though a few say prices run higher than at other branches. Gourmet burgers, a curry and fish and chips come up by name, and one reviewer calls the beef curry authentic. Eggs Benedict gets a lukewarm "not that bad." Staff are described as friendly and quick even when the pub is extremely busy, and one reviewer found the app simple for tourists ordering. The main complaint is space. Reviewers call it one of the smallest Wetherspoons, with lunchtime crowds making tables hard to find. One says tables are slow to be cleaned and that pairs occupy tables meant for four or six while others wait. Another says a pint cost more than usual but still seemed decent for the area. One reviewer says the staff were so busy they likely did not hear a thank you for a lunch and coffee.

“Without a doubt the best value drinking and dining option in such a popular area of the city. On a weekday morning it was surprisingly quiet when I visited but the outdoor tables and clean interior made it a pleasant place to relax. Staff were friendly, there’s plenty of seating options and I’ll certainly be returning next time I’m in the area.”

“Can we just give some praise real quick to my stomach. A curry and a buzz ball comfortably put away. Not an ideal combination for a Tuesday afternoon but we move. Was not an ideal combo but that curry was delicious and I know what I am talking about being from Hounslow. Hats off to the backroom staff at this establishment. The hard work does not go unnoticed. For Leicester Square the prices actually weren't terrible but then again they definitely were not normal Wetherspoon prices. Cannot have everything can you. We move. #godspeed”

“We arrived to an extremely busy pub, the staff we still so friendly and nice, quick service though. The manager deserves a raise and a holiday. I didnt catch the staff names but im incredibly impressed. I have run my own pubs before and would definitely be happy to have them as staff. Very well done. The food was delicious”

“If I'm in London and I'm hungry, and there's a Wetherspoon nearby, I'll go there without hesitation. You'll always leave satisfied. London has changed, but Wetherspoon has never changed.”
