Customer Review Summary
Fish and chips is the dish reviewers raise most, with several praising it as delicious and perfectly cooked, and the fish pie close behind. Diners also name the steak and pale ale pie, sticky pudding, and a short rib style pie, while the cask ales and a pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord come up as the pairing of choice. The atmosphere is described as relaxed, warm, and not too loud, comfortable enough that a few say they stayed longer than planned. Many single out the staff, from a bartender with quick service and a bit of chat to servers who guided ordering and looked after a birthday table of six. One reviewer found the dining room separate from the main pub on the first floor, with a window table over the busy street, and another watched a Liverpool match on screens placed around the spacious interior. The only complaint is one diner who didn't care for the appetizer meat croquettes, while still calling the visit excellent.

“We had a fantastic meal at The White Swan in London. The fish and chips and fish pie were both delicious, perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and paired nicely with two beers. The atmosphere was great—relaxed, not too loud, and ideal for having a proper conversation. A really enjoyable dining experience that we’d happily recommend.”

“We went to watch the Liverpool Galatasaray match and found the atmosphere very warm. The interior was spacious. Hygiene was generally good. They had placed screens in a few spots, making it more comfortable to watch the match. We bought snacks and drinks. The presentation and service were very good.”
