Customer Review Summary

Diners most often return for the spread of world cuisine, with Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Italian dishes plus a carvery, and for live stations cooking to order. One reviewer singles out teppanyaki seabass, spicy prawns, haggis pasta and Balmoral chicken, then cranachan and Black Forest gateau from a Burns Day special. Several note friendly staff, promptly cleared plates and bottomless soft drinks. Complaints carry real weight. Two reviewers describe bland food that seemed to have sat in hot trays, one citing meat with an unpleasant smell, and another missed grilled prawns in the afternoon. At the live counter, one reviewer was told only one potato kulcha at a time, and reports seeing two chefs touching each other inappropriately in the open kitchen. Another objects to being asked for a tip, and a parent was told a toddler's chips from their plate would be charged.

“I’m really disappointed with my experience here. The food was extremely tasteless and lacked seasoning and flavour. Most importantly, the meat had an unpleasant smell, which made it very difficult to enjoy the meal. The overall taste was poor. I expected much better quality, especially considering the price. The food should be fresh, well-seasoned, and enjoyable, but this experience was far from that. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and pays more attention to the quality and freshness of the meat and the overall preparation of the food. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend it based on the meal I had today.”

“I've been to this restaurante several times, and every time we left feeling satisfied. The offer range is quite big and the food standards are quite good. Its a child and family friend place, catering for all group ages. We have been there are as a family and we have been there with big groups, and the staff was always supper nice and helpful. I would recommend and will be coming back.”

“As buffets go this one is one of the better ones. Good variety Staff polite However I don’t like being asked for a tip When paying. It’s really really not polite to ask!! The tip in cash we had for the tip jar was actually reduced due to the sheer cheek of asking for it. Let people decide themselves it’s not North America”

“I don’t usually write bad reviews because I actually own a restaurant chain myself and know how hard the industry is, but I was so shocked by what happened here today that I had to post this. I brought my whole family here on Sunday 21st June excited for the buffet. When we walked in and sat down, we were served by a girl who seemed like a shy trainee, but she actually did a really good job. The real issue started around 3 PM when my wife and I went up to the live cooking station for a potato kulcha. I asked for two, and the chef just stared at me with a completely straight face and said, "one at a time." I literally had to explain to him that the second one was for my wife who was standing right next to me, and he just replied, "come back after 5 minutes." Honestly, talking to him felt like talking to an AI robot. No customer service skills at all. But it gets worse. I went back 5 minutes later like he told me to, and I caught the same chef (the one with glasses) touching his kitchen mate (another guy in his 40s dressed black) on his bum, and then the other chef touched him back on his front. I actually couldn't believe my eyes. This is a LIVE kitchen in front of paying customers, and the staff are touching unhygienic areas and messing around like that! It was absolutely disgusting to watch. If they are doing things like that right in front of the guests, I honestly wonder what is happening behind the kitchen where no one can see. I really hope management takes this feedback seriously and deals with this immediately. Unbelievable!”

“We were seated pretty immediately. Food topped up pretty regularly. Didnt see anything empty much. Variety is good, a little bit of everything. The only thing i didnt like, is they wanted to charge us for my 15 month old having a chip or two. We brought food with us, but you know, kids want whatever is on your plate. We were told if she eats anything, they were going to charge us. I thought that was a bit much to be fair. If a kid is eating fair enough, but shes clearly a baby.”
