Customer Review Summary
Coffee is what reviewers return for, described as beautifully extracted, not sour or burnt, with milk texture one calls out of this world. Cakes and a blueberry muffin follow close behind, along with a bacon and cream cheese bagel, deep filled sandwiches and an egg mayo bloomer a visitor's daughter loved. Several praise the friendly staff, the industrial look and the plentiful seating, from chesterfields to high bar stools, and a few mention free parking and that dogs are welcome. One notes the venue is card only. The mood is described as busy and alive with conversation, with a pool table in the corner. Criticism is thinner but pointed. One reviewer found a mocha bitter rather than rich and sweet. Another describes a tiny cooked breakfast with a filmy egg, a refused request for scrambled egg, and staff on phones at the till, calling the food overpriced. Another says the menu is limited, more cake and coffee than lunch. One regular says they have come since it opened.

“I went to Tamp and Steam today. It was really busy and tge atmosphere was alive with different conversations. I could put a star rating for food as I didn't have any. Just had a coffee.”

“Lovely coffee. Urban indutstrial vibe a good range of seating from chesterfields to high bar stool tables. Lends itself to everyone from solo dog walker to a hot desk or meeting spot. Limited menu but cakes nice. Cake and coffee rather than lunch spot. Parking free, always busy but fast turnover of other shops makes it quick to stalk a secure a spot. Turning right out of carpark needs a sports mode and nerves of steel”

“Well located, dog friendly cafe. Good range of coffees, cakes and light bites (they even do pizzas now). Have been coming here regularly since it opened. Just be warned - it's a cashless, card only venue.”

“I ordered a mocha for takeaway. I was hoping for a stronger sweet and rich chocolate taste but this was more on the bitter side. However, reasonable priced. The atmosphere was amazing and will definitely go to sit and work for a bit in the future. The staff was very friendly.”
