Breakfast is served all day, and The Big One brings rump steak together with sausages, bacon, eggs, hash browns, beans, grilled tomato, mushrooms, black pudding and toast. Customer Review Summary

Breakfast is the main draw, with diners singling out the big cooked breakfast, including a rump steak platter with sausages, bacon, black pudding and hash browns, and the Huevos Rancheros served with flour tortillas. Others praise a salmon and cream cheese bagel, eggs and avocado, and a late-night burger with crisp fries. Portions are described as incredible, with a group needing takeaway boxes, and unlimited tea and coffee refills come up repeatedly alongside friendly, helpful staff. Close behind are the lively atmosphere, the memorabilia decor and a lunchtime deal called great value. Several note how busy it gets, and one suggests pre-booking tables, with parking described as not the best. The main criticism is cost and drinks: one diner thought a 10oz rump steak was too expensive, and a cloudy, flat cider was sent back and exchanged without much fuss. One reviewer's party buffet was raved about by guests.

“We went early at 1630 on a Friday as we had a four year old. We had to send back back a Cider as it was cloudy & flat but it was exchanged without too much fuss. We had 2 chicken Fajitas which were more than plentiful & I had steak which while nice, I thought was a bit good too expensive at £28 for a 10oz Rump. Service provider was very nice & helpful & I would recommend to go. We also go for breakfast/brunch which is very good.”

“Came here as a group of 9 for my 16yr olds pre birthday breakfast. We was there early and other family members was running late but the staff was very friendly constantly offering tea and coffee top ups. When we first arrived around 8.45am there was only acouple of people in there but by time we left around 10.30am it was absolutely chockers would highly recommend pre booking tables. The food was reasonably priced and the portion sizes was incredible. Even better the food was absolutely delicious. Acouple of us had to get some take away boxes as we couldn't finish it all but certainly didn't want it to go to waste. Would definitely go there again. Parking isn't the best but if you drive down afew housing estates your sure to find something within a 5-10 minute walk but still well worth the walk. 10/10 on everything.”

“Had my birthday here a week ago!! The food, staff and party was brilliant! Nothing was too much trouble and everyone raved about the buffet being the best food they had ever had at a party!! Thanks so much for making my 40th one to remember! We were all having way too much fun to get loads of photos! Thanks again to the tavern for the best night!!”

“Genuinely unreal. Staff were so friendly, and food felt like exactly what you’d get in America. Lunchtime deal was really great value too. And loved the soundtrack! Not too loud and great taste in American music.”
