  “Lovely staff bur had to mark down as awful quality food. Watered down sauce, no vegetables like others , and overpriced . Anyone in L14 go to dovecot Chinese, ,proper food. Sos is a joke”

  “I’m in love with this chippy. It’s my fave and my go too whenever I don’t know what to have. The food is lovely. I go for the usual (S+P chicken and chips with curry) and I honestly have not found anywhere that does it better than here. Also the chicken noodle soup (my fave) is amazing. The ribs are also lovely. Absolutely love the food from here.”

  “Poor customer service. My boyfriend asked for a chow mein with rice noodles. He repeated it twice but they was busy and trying to end the call quickly. Once there he mentioned it again to ensure they heard correctly but once we opened it up it was egg noodles. I have an intolerance to egg so my meal was out of the question and we paid for something we asked not to have. If they are too busy to take an order they should not be taking them.”

  “Very bad customer service. The big lady staff seemed to be annoyed by customers at 8.20pm. She was behaving like I was a nuisance. She doesnt like answering questions. I had a doubt about soups but she seemed to be hurry in closing my order. They have not kept any menu card for the customers, if they had, we could have easily used it for ordering. I paid £20 towards a £17 bill, and they forgot to give me change of 3 pounds back. Upon receiving the order, they claimed they already paid me that. The big lady blindly claimed to have seen the other staff giving me the change back. I asked them to check my wallet for £3 coins if they have given me as I havent stepped out of the shop since I entered in, but they started checking CCTV. It was so embaressing moment in my life. I drove all the way from Old Swan to their shop to buy food and they judge me for just £3. I got annoyed by the time pass by as they were busy serving other customers and checking each bit of their CCTV footage again and again. I felt humiliated and decided not to visit them again. I discourage anyone going there because of their nasty customer service that I ever had in any restaurant/take away in Liverpool. To add up, the special chow mein was just a waste, had no masala, no taste of salt.”

  “The wait for even basic meals is over half an hour. The staff in there are rude beyond belief. Personal conversations across the shop and generally rude to customers, when asked politely about delays in order they had written my name down wrong and shouted the wrong name. Then tried to blame it on me. A number system would make it easier! On more than one occasion they have messed up a meal. Seem to have “favourite” customers who get special treatment and orders served quicker. STILL CANNOT pay on card even though it’s the 21st Century AND its beneficial because of COVID! Very poor customer service by very rude staff. Would not return again! Do not go unless you like people being rude toward you.”

  “This is possibly the best, but certainly one of the best Chinese Chippy's in Liverpool. The food is always cooked fresh to order and is always on point. If getting food from So's around the weekend at tea time make sure you give yourself plenty of time as the queues are always out of the door. Portion sizes are great and quite often single portions could feed two people. Prices are very reasonable given quality of food and amount you get. Would recommend So's 10 times out of 10.”

  “Fantastic! Chips are always tasty and cooked to order. Portion sizes are generous to say the least! There are only a handful of fish and chip shops that we will eat from, So’s topping the short list. The shop is always immaculate and the staff are always friendly and chatty with the customers. The chips and onion gravy are delicious, we will be back soon!”
