About Kims Anfield Supper Bar
Kims Anfield Supper Bar is a takeaway on Anfield Rd, serving fish and chips, in-house curry, savoury cake, salt and pepper chicken, and a kebab option to walk-in customers. Orders are placed at the counter, and there is no seating on site, but staff will deliver a takeaway order to a table at the nearby Arkles pub for customers who choose to eat there. High chairs are available for families with young children. The shop opens Monday to Saturday and closes on Sundays, and it gets busy on match days given its position near the stadium.

Customer Review Summary
Fish and chips are what reviewers return to, with the haddock described as thick, fresh and in crispy batter, and portions called huge, one saying enough for three people. Close behind are the curry sauce, thick and smooth with a little kick, the savoury cake, and the salt and pepper chicken one visitor plans to go back for. Several reviewers highlight that the shop sits a couple of doors from the Arkles pub and that takeaway can be eaten inside, with food brought to the table. The staff and owner come up repeatedly as friendly and very kind, including one who still found time for every customer on a rammed match day. Many reviewers are visitors from the US and Canada. One reviewer calls the shop dirty and unpleasant after ordering curry and chips, and says there are much better places. Another reviewer's update says someone was wrongly accused of calling the chippy a rip-off in a video. One visitor from America says the meal was exactly what they were looking for, with their food hand delivered to the pub.

“Update: Since my review, a gentleman I spoke with has been accused of saying the chippy was a rip-off in my video, which simply isn’t true and have the video recording to prove that. He feels terrible and has to pass by the chippy often. I would like to think the shop will read this and apologise to the gentleman, as there is no useable phone number or social media with which to contact the shop. Review: Having recently reviewed a chippy near Everton, by popular request, I visited one near Anfield, which turned out to be right by the stadium. Not only that, it is just a couple of doors along from the Arkles pub, making it a great location. On entering the very clean and tidy Kim’s, we were asked if we were in the pub and told that our meals could be taken to us once they were ready. This was a great idea. The chippy and pub have a very friendly relationship, allowing customers to eat their takeaway inside and, no doubt, benefiting from those customers buying a drink or two. I can only imagine what it is like there on match day. The staff were polite and friendly. I ordered the haddock, chips, their in-house curry, and a savoury cake. The haddock was nice, thick, and fresh, with a gently tasty flavour, wrapped in a crispy, delicious batter. The chips were plentiful and, although quite slim, were very nice. The curry sauce came in a large container and was thick and smooth with a nice little kick, just the way I like it. The savoury cake was a mix of mashed potato and selected herbs and seasonings, in a light, crispy batter. Overall, I am pretty sure I will return at some point to take my chippy meal into the pub and enjoy it with a drink, though perhaps not on match day.”

“One of the friendliest places I’ve ever been in. Kim is just lovely. The food was great & portions large. All cooked fresh. Wonderful place to visit while in the area. You can take your food into the Arkles pub to eat. What an amazing set up. Really need to go again for their amazing salt & pepper chicken. Check out the review on Youtube The Chippy Tour. 😋😋😋😋😋”

“Nasty dirty chippy, got curry and chips and was really unpleasant. If you’re a drunk LFC fan or a gullible tourist then you might be fooled into thinking this place is ok but believe me, there are much better places.”

“The best fish and chips/kebab in all of Liverpool, large portions, fresh meats and Kim was super lovely every single time I came in. Visited from Canada and really enjoyed our chats every single time.. thank you Kim and see you next time!!!”
