About The Chef Brazilian House

The Chef Brazilian House is a Brazilian restaurant on Haggerston Rd in Liverpool, working out of a small shop-style space. Traditional feijoada anchors the cooking, served with farofa, while coxinha and pastel cover the snack side of the menu for a lighter order. Pizza runs alongside the Brazilian mains, and food can be ordered to take away for eating at home. Tables are run on a walk-in basis, so no reservation is needed, and the kitchen serves through lunch as well as later meals. The entrance is step-free, which suits visitors with mobility needs, and dogs are welcome inside. It opens Wednesday to Sunday and stays closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Customer Review Summary

Feijoada is the dish reviewers return to most, described as very flavorful and delicious, with one diner calling it the best they have had, though they wished the farofa were crispier. Pizza comes close behind, with one reviewer saying it disappears within minutes of getting home and another calling it lush. Coxinha is called unreal, and others name pastel, bife acebolado, nhoque and chicken parmigiana, with generous portions noted. Burgers earn praise too, with crunchy fries that have a soft centre, along with sauces, a smoothie, and a waffle with fruit for dessert. Service is mostly described as friendly, and the atmosphere as quiet, relaxing and chill. The one sharp complaint comes from a reviewer who reports an extremely rude staff member who made them feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and says they will not return. Several others say they plan to come back, and one took snacks home for dinner after lunch.

“Worst experience I've had at a restaurant. The customer service was terrible, and the staff member was extremely rude. Instead of being helpful and respectful, she made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I expected much better treatment as a customer. I will not be returning.”
  • Tristan Tse
“Very lovely small shop, passed by often but never during times where I needed food. This time I decided to stop by for some food, ordered the feijoada which is my usual go to for Brazilian spots, this was probably the best I’ve had! Maybe just wished the farofa was crispy but otherwise everything was spot on. Also ordered the smoothie which was great!”
  • Melissa O'Brien
“Delicious burgers and sauces. Crunchy fries with soft centre. Tasty waffle and fruit for desert. Just lovely.”
  • Marcela
“Everything was really good — the pizza was lush and the coxinha was unreal. Definitely coming back!”
