Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the two-course lunch menu, praising portions far bigger than the lunch format led them to expect. Lamb shank that falls off the bone, Beyti with tasty rice, chicken shish and grilled salmon are named as mains, with lamb liver and spicy sausage as starters. Evening diners single out the sea bass, the guvec and a sharing platter. Regulars favour the sucuk, lamb shish, chicken thighs, juicy wings and ribs. Several describe the food as freshly cooked, and one says the wait stayed short despite that. Staff are called friendly, welcoming and helpful, and a few servers are singled out as a credit to the restaurant. The one criticism comes from a single reviewer who felt the mains could have been spicier. Many mention the free bread and dips, and one eats them with sucuk like a Turkish hotdog.

“Great value for money and very tasty food. My husband and I were planning to eat somewhere else on Bold Street, but we came across Akasya promoting their 2 course lunch for only £14.95. The menu had so much variety, truly something for everyone I got lamb liver for starter, I've never had such tender liver, it was perfectly seasoned. My husband had spicy sausage. Very juicy and flavourful. Then I had Beyti, very tasty, good portion, very tasty rice. My husband had a lamb shank, fantastic portion, tasty and so tender, completely fell off the bone. Only thing I would say is, the mains could have been a little more spicy, but we will ask about this on our next visit. The service was great, a young lady was our main server, she made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, also very efficient. But every member of staff we encountered were also very friendly. Overall 10/10. Would definitely recommend and at that price, we can afford to come regularly. Thank you.”

“Third time visiting , food was delightful as ever. Service was excellent and attentive. Went for the lunch menu 15.95 for two courses. Was expecting a small lunch portion but you got loads , free bread as well with dips. Food was exceptionally cooked. At £43 for two courses each and 4 drinks an absolute bargain. Will visit again.”

“Came here on a busy Saturday evening. Staff were excellent and made sure we were taken care of. Niles in particular is a credit to the restaurant. The food portions are plentiful and the quality is lovely. We opted for the sharing platter, seabass which was divine and the guvec which was really tasty. Definitely on our return list. Thanks so much for a lovely evening!”
