“Visited Taj this evening for my dad’s 70th Birthday! Was warmly welcomed by staff and helped to table that had been booked for 12 people. All drinks and food orders taken within good time and service was superb. Food was tasty, hot, and more than we expected. Large portions we had to take quite abit home. Thankyou to all the staff we will be back 😊”

“Food was very bad. The lamb tikka was like a brick it wasn’t edible. The lamb chops were the same. We wasted most of it. The curry that came with the food in the side was tasteless. The rice had been pre heated and wasn’t made fresh. When we informed them, as the other reviews say, they “shrugged us off” we ended up saying you can take the criticism or don’t. We still paid in full so we wasn’t trying to get money off as we know it’s a business at the end of the day. But the food was not good and the staff weren’t either. I will never go here again. I don’t know how they’re still open.”

“Service was amazing, highly attentive and responsive staff. The atmosphere was also warm with pleasant starters. However the curries were very sweet, to the point I could not eat one of them, also had an overly sweet dosa and coconut rice portion - profoundly disappointing. Other reviewers have pointed this out. I hope the recipes are revised to remove all sugar added. Last ate here in 2021 and loved it, it should be an easy fix for the owner. This restaurant has been a valued stable of lark Lane for many years its a shame they forgot how to make a curry.”
