About Mowgli Street Food Bold Street
Mowgli Street Food Bold Street is an Indian restaurant in Liverpool at 69 Bold St, open daily. The menu is built around sharing, with dishes such as butter chicken and Goan fish curry. The Tiffin Sharer comes with "curry roulette", where the staff ask about your preferences and then choose surprise curries for the table, which suits anyone who would rather leave the picking to the kitchen. Yoghurt chat bombs work as a starter, and bunny chow is also on the menu. Tables can be booked online, and a set menu is available. The drinks list includes a Mowgli gin cocktail.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the yoghurt chat bombs, described as a flavour bomb and paired with the garlic and coriander paratha, which one diner calls light and crispy and another a must try. Close behind are the shared curries: the lamb house curry, butter chicken and the Goan fish curry, picked through the Tiffin Sharer with curry roulette. Diners also name the Bunny Chow, fenugreek fries and the red cabbage coleslaw, plus a Mowgli gin cocktail. Many describe friendly, quick service, with staff suggesting dishes to newcomers and speeding up orders for a theatre booking. The main complaints concern process. One walk-in was turned away for lacking a booking despite empty tables, then seated straight away after booking on the website minutes later. Another had to ask for the set menu, saying it suits first-timers and would have earned a higher score had it been offered. One birthday table left with a night made more enjoyable by a server who looked after them.

“Food here is really delicious... Lots of things we've not tried before. The garlic and coriander paratha is a must try! Our 10 year old says; "everything is really nice, you can't go wrong here!"”

“Just had an absolutely amazing lunch at Mowgli. The food was absolutely incredible. Came out when cooked and piping hot. The staff were kind enough to let me try a sample of the yoghurt chat bombs and wow didn't expect them to be such a flavour bomb.. Garlic and coriander paratha was light crispy perfection, perfectly cooked rice and the nicest and most tasty lamb house curry that I'm going to be dreaming about. Then an angry burned with their red cabbage coleslaw and I was in heaven. Honestly the best meal I've had in 2026. My server Sophie , is an absolute star, was so helpful, friendly and was probably the best server I've ever had eating out. She's an absolute credit to this place and was so sweet, knowledgeable and really informative and just generally lovely and made me feel totally at ease dining alone and kept tabs on me to make sure I was happy with everything. She's a real Diamond.”

“Easy to book, good communication pre booking. Great welcome. Only issue we had to ASK for the set menu - WHY what are you hiding ? Set menu is good if some of the diners are new to Mowgli Service attentive, friendly, scouse hospitality with regular check-ins, overall £35 a head for a decent meal and drinks. If you’d given us the set menu 4 stars”

“Amazing place and an awesome food experience. Special thanks to Anna. I told her I have no idea what to order and she said don’t worry I got you. Brought me this and it was super delicious. Licked it clean 😋 €28 for everything.”

“Absolutely love this place. Not been for a while but dropped by after a concert. It was packed as usual. Had a fabulous Mowgli gin cocktail served by the amazing manager Gil. He’s friendly and professional in equal measure. We treat outside as it was a lovely evening and had the share menu. We chose butter chicken , lamb and Goan fish and all incredibly good. The yoghurt chat bombs and fenugreek fries good to start too. We had an extra side of tangled green LS which were delicious. All incredibly all a great evening thanks. We were served by Alice who is both friendly and professional with a lovely smile. We will be back again”

Highlights
“Mowgli is all about how Indians eat at home and on their streets. She was born to feed the raw need Indians have for tiffins full of fresh bright intense flavour. Mowgli is not about the intimate, hushed dining experience. It is about the smash and grab zing of healthy, light, virtuosic herbs and spices. The simple dishes of a Mowgli menu are a million miles away from the curry stereotype. These dishes convey the truth that real Indian food is extremely healthy, often vegan and always packed with fresh flavour.”
