Customer Review Summary
The thali draws the most attention, especially the non veg version with chicken and mutton curries that several reviewers call authentic, while one diner singled out the gajar ka halwa that came with a veg thali. Chole bhature comes close behind, described as rich and freshly made, and the gulab jamun earns repeated praise as a standout. Reviewers also mention hot bhatura, chicken korma, tikka masala and mango lassi, and describe huge portions of rice with the dal tadka and mixed veg. The complaints are pointed. Two reviewers describe watered down food and tiny pots, citing bhindi pieces in an aloo matar, a lamb rogan josh pot with only bone in it, and a korma with three chicken chunks and no sauce. Others note dishes that were unavailable, no lamb at the buffet, no salad or cold drink, a slow kitchen, and a thali not offered for takeout. Those who enjoyed the meal mention the thali arriving on a copper plate.

“We were in Liverpool hoping to find good Indian food and came across this place. Although it says it’s authentic thali, I can confirm it’s authentically terrible. All the food was watered down, I found pieces of bhindi in my aloo matar which the only way I can justify the price of paying 12.99 for the veg dish. The quantities are very limited, but after tasting it felt too generous. Least to say that we will not return to this place”

“We opted for the buffet. It was good, tasted like home cooked meal. Nikki served us hot bhatura which were yumm. Gulab jamuns were the star of the dish. Punjabi samosas were good but could be better if were fresh and very hot. We were expecting more hot dishes, lamb wasn't there, got 2 chicken dishes instead. Veg options are good too. There was no salad or cold drink (coke etc) which was disappointing. Overall, if you miss Indian taste then this place is worth a try.”

“Extremely Poor, £12.99 for two curries, rice and a poppadom. Rice bowl is reasonable, Lamb Rogan Josh and Korma pots were tiny. Lamb one just had bone in the pot. Korma was bland and had 3 chicken chunks in with no sauce. Stick to curry house compare to food market. I came here for the 4.6 out of 5 stars. Shocking!”

“I was in Liverpool for the afternoon and was craving Indian food for lunch. After exploring several options, I chose SK Little India, and it turned out to be a great decision. The restaurant was easy to find and had a very spacious seating arrangement. Since thali is my go-to meal, I ordered the veg thali and it was spot on. The curries were absolutely delicious, and the gajar ka halwa was the highlight of the meal. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed and satisfying lunch experience.”
