Customer Review Summary

The Philly cheese steak sandwich draws repeated praise, with reviewers calling it beautiful and memorable, and it appears again paired with bacon sausage on toast at breakfast. Close behind, the hot honey halloumi salad and the sandwich of the day with burrata, rocquette and crispy onion earn their own enthusiastic mentions, alongside a well-liked double breakfast and complimentary jug of water. Coffee is repeatedly singled out as a highlight, and staff are most often described as friendly and efficient. A recurring trade-off is slow service around drinks and getting orders taken, with several diners noting other tables served ahead of them despite the café not being especially busy. One reviewer describes a more serious breakdown, waiting roughly forty minutes for drinks that never arrived, receiving no apology, and ultimately paying only for food before leaving. Another longtime visitor feels the food selection has narrowed and presentation has slipped compared to before. Most accounts, though, end warmly, with reviewers returning multiple times and recommending the café to others.

“I visited here with my nan today for some lunch - we were immediately met with welcome and lovely service. The café was very clean and well organised, our orders were taken and delivered quickly and the food was really nice (exactly as it says on the menu and delicious). We were offered help with choosing our drinks and had a wonderfully friendly experience, especially with our server Kenesha. It was probably the nicest coffee I've had in a while too! Many thanks to the team, I'm sure I'll be back soon. ☀️🥯”

“Food here was beautiful, had the philly steak and think about it almost daily, really amazing. Came here on a whim, staff were friendly, was asked to wait outside to be seated while they cleaned tables of customers leaving. We waited for about 10-15 minutes and then 2 other girls walked in, probably not realising the same as we hadn't, but the waitress seemed to know them and seated them straight away. I don't think they realised we were stood outside, and soon after the waitress noticed and found us a seat. We waited quite a while for our drinks and even longer for food order to be taken, I saw others come in after and get food sooner. I don't think it was on purpose but it wasn't too busy and we were starving so naturally, remember this part, but the staff were friendly overall and the food was incredible. Will definitely go again!”

“On visit from SW France, have been eating out in the UK since the last 13 days and quite frankly this is the best so far. I had the sandwich of the day, burrata, roquette and crispy onion on ciabatta. My family had fries with a cesar style topping, parmesan and bacon. The chips were crispy delish, the topping ab fab 😋 My cousin had smoked salmon bagel, also delish. I would reccomend 100% Will go back for sure on my next visit to Liverpool !”
