About Cook Street Coffee
Cook Street Coffee is a small cafe in Liverpool city centre, run solely by a husband-and-wife team who handle everything between them. The room seats about 14 across 7 tables, so parties of around four are the practical limit, and a wait for a table is possible. The menu offers a large breakfast and a small breakfast, with hash browns and mushrooms among the components. A bacon sandwich is also available, and it can come with two hash browns. The cafe sits at 43 Castle St.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is the draw at this small Liverpool cafe, and the bacon sandwich is what reviewers name most, one calling it among the best they have had, another ordering it with two hash browns. A large breakfast and a small breakfast also get mentioned, with one diner swapping mushrooms for an extra hash brown. Reviewers describe tasty, piping hot food, a huge pot of tea, and prices they call reasonable and unbelievable, with fast service and no frills. The staff, a husband and wife pair, are called friendly, happy to chat, and quick to keep tables clean. The recurring caveat is size: one reviewer counts seven tables seating 14, another says a group of around four is the limit, and one warns of a possible wait for a table. One diner notes the sausages are chippy style, though they expected that at the price. Several mention being a visitor staying nearby, and one says most customers are local, with a plate of authentic English breakfast served to them.

“Visited here on a recent trip to the city, and what a lovely little place it is. I had a bacon sandwich with two hash browns and a drink. One of the best bacon sandwiches I've every had. The proprietors are a husband & wife who are both friendly and both happy to have chat. Fantastic value for money too”

“I highly recommend this little gem. Especially if, like me, you are staying around the corner near Castle St not far from Liverpool One. Small place only seats 14 across 7 tables. but really authenthic caf vibe, no frills, industrious and pleasant 2 person staff who do everything, tasty food served with minimum wait time, and reasonable prices. Just great. Head over to it!”
