  “Visited today (23/8) for Sunday lunch. The meal was delicious. Staff great and very attentive. Lovely atmosphere. A fantastic place to enjoy Sunday lunch whilst in Leeds city centre. PS - unlimited yorkies and roasties are a bonus”

  “Great food here, been twice in the last 2 weeks, chicken blt & a burger 2nd time prepared fresh in an open kitchen, very tasty. Nights out, always find the door people to be professional & friendly and the venue has a great atmosphere, especially when there's live music on. Finally, great management team behind the scenes make sure the venue runs smoothly.”

  “Came for a quick drink, first visit. Modern trendy vibe to the place. Very large inside, lots of tables available.Previously visited the mill hill branch, this was very different in how modern it felt compared to the other branch. Still the same choice of very varied beers at reasonable prices. Darts tables and that shuffle board game.Food available but we didn't stay to eat. Service was good, but not very quick considering how quiet it was. Overall a good place.”

  “Hmmm. Have been here a few times. Went in 8pm on a Saturday night and it was really really quiet. Not suggesting by the way that being quiet is the fault of the venue in any way. My comment about it being really quiet is more directed to the way they had decided to lay out the venue. When you go in to the head of Steam there is a sort of seated or dining area to the right and then you go through to the main bar area which has cubicles and more tables based around a central bar . It's all dark, comfortable, quite welcoming. On this particular night they had the strangest DJ on duty . My friends and I weren't completely sure whether it was a deliberate attempt to play mismatched music, or whether the DJ himself was not particularly good at mixing music and had maybe a more eclectic taste. Either way, because the venue was largely empty, it means the music was far too loud and we ended up yelling at each other over a table and we got bored after one drink so we left. I would suggest maybe the owners think about reading the customers a little bit better? If most of the customers are eating and not trying to have a rave or a mosh intermittently in the bar, then maybe reconsider the music and the volume. Also quite expensive. Would not be top of my list of bars to visit in Leeds.”

  “Great place to go for lunch or after work. Great selection of beers. Food is also very good and came out quickly. There are games you can book in one corner. Staff are fantastic. Only issue is there are bad smells in some parts of the bar area. Didn't affect us much but was disconcerting”

  “Great place, love the decor! Guinness was drunk as it was St Patrick's day (so obligatory 🙂) the price was reasonable and the Guinness was perfect.”

  “On the outset this place was large and well spaced out with friendly staff. A good choices of craft beers and a plentiful collection of drinks behind the bar. Prices are very reasonable and there’s large tables suitable for larger groups. The food however although served hot and fresh was a little burnt and dry. Some dishes appeared to have cooked with more care but there burnt parts somewhat made the food a little implantable. Over all, a good place to come In the evening but select your food dish carefully”
