Quick info
About Spaghetti House
Spaghetti House is a family-run Italian restaurant at 18 Mary St in Lancaster, built around an open kitchen where diners can watch the chefs cook. The large menu centres on pizza and pasta, with lobster and prawn ravioli among the pasta dishes and breaded spicy prawns with sweet mayo as a starter. Desserts run from banoffee to a Lotus Biscoff cheesecake. Tables can be booked by phone, there is no online booking, and walk-ins are accepted without a reservation. There is no printed drinks menu, so the staff list what is available at the table. A happy hour runs on Saturdays.

“I have visited Spaghetti House over many years . However , trying to get them to answer the phone in order to book a table is a nightmare . Nobody would answer the phone even though I tried several times over 3 days . Eventually you are cut off and there is no answer machine for them to get back to you though I would have no confidence that they would anyway . You can’t book on line or email them a neither do they use Resdiary or other. I find this incredibly rude and will not be trying to book again . Plenty of other good Italians in the town . Surely they are not relying on walk ins ?”

“So I went as 4 for starters we ordered breaded kind of spicy prawns with sweet mayo and Bruchatta or something like that. Definitely recommend. Main we got some chicken and pizza it was really good!!! For dessert we got the best thing a banoffee and apple pie ice cream. Lotus biscoff cheesecake and chocolate brownie. You could either get it with cream or vanilla ice cream. All of them came with this wafer roll and chocolate. The staff were really kind and very helpful. The food actually came pretty quickly. The atmosphere it was clean. Occasionally they would play some music which was nice. Over all really good recommended for sure.”

“Service was very slow, think possibly understaffed for how busy they were. Chefs having a hair net on 5% of beard was just pointless, food was fine but that was it nothing to write home about. Portions were not the biggest. Drinks were awful. Said they were 'local' coke and lemonade, Just tasted lile cheap panda pops and the lemondade was just soda water with a skinny slice of lemon. The waitress was very good and tried to swap etc but drinks were border line undrinkable and a lot dearer than other establishments charge for proper coca cola and schweppes lemonade etc.”
