  “We had a lovely meal. Great staff who were very attentive and made us feel welcome. They were all professional. The food was tasty and at a good price. A bit more rice would be welcome. Nice to see the entertainment packages. Overall, a great experience. We will be back at Christmas/New Year.”

  “After spending over £45 for 2 pick up meals and having to have a glass of water after eating a bit of chicken as its that dry. cold (garlic) never seen garlic before breads. Shiteeeee”

  “Fantastic Indian restaurant with a great atmosphere, food , and service. The food is outstanding only to be topped by their service. Very friendly wait staff with knowledgeable recommendations for everyone including those with dietary restrictions. I'd eat here every day!”

  “Two friends of mine were coming from the South of England to Lancaster and suggested eating dinner at an Indian restaurant. I hadn't eaten out in Lancaster for over twenty five years so I was a bit stumped. A good friend of mine suggested the Babar Elephant, having had eaten there before with her family. I rang before hand to check that they could accommodate for a vegan / ital diet which I have. I spoke with a very friendly and polite gentleman called Soif, who assured me it would be no problem, so I booked a table for the three of us. We were met by Soif himself at front of house who took us to our table and we looked at the menu and he made suggestions on what chef would be able to do, more choices than I first thought. Soif was very attentive and supportive, making all of us feel welcomed and comfortable. The food arrived just at the right time, served by an efficient waiter, and it was perfect, the star that finished the dish off I had was a recommendation by Soif himself - the vegan lemon steamed rice, total understated perfection. The drinks we had were very reasonably priced and chilled to perfection. The flatbreads and chapatis were cooked perfectly and were not salty or tasteless, helping to accompany all the wonderful flavours in the main dishes. Huge thanks to Soif and all the staff there that night, thank you chef for your great meals.”

  “Went for partners birthday. Absolutely spot on. The staff were so attentive and made you feel special. It felt more like dining abroad on holiday. Staff so helpful, introducing themselves and being there when needed. Food was lovelly and so was the venue. Will definitely be back. No negative comments at all.”
