Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the food, naming the Thai honey halloumi fries, baked salmon with noodles, curry chicken, mushroom soup and a burger and chips, and one diner highly recommends the Mixed Grill. Close behind are the welcoming atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff, with JW Lees bitter on tap and the outdoor area also getting mentions. A few describe it as a good place to bring children, noting ample kids meals and a World Cup afternoon with a son. The complaints are specific. One reviewer describes a busy Friday evening that felt understaffed, with a long wait for food, no explanation, standard drinks unavailable and a wrong drink brought to the table, though one waitress worked hard with little back up. A family with several children was disappointed that the beer garden playground shown in photos is gone and found the food ok. One diner found the noodles with the salmon a bit too sweet. A group that hired the Cobblers suite for a birthday appreciated being allowed to do their own catering, with crockery supplied.

“Came for dinner with family, we had several children with us. One of the reasons we chose this place was because we saw pictures of a playground in the beer garden. Unfortunately that playground isn't there anymore 😞 The food was ok, wasn't particularly good but it wasn't the worst we've had.”

“This is absolutely amazing, absolutely cinima. Love the food here, also the decoration. I ordered currey chicken as main, And I LOVE IT! Mt friend ordered dialy soup, it's mushroom soup today, it is amazing too. I'll give it 10 out of 10.”

“Came in on Sunday for a quiet lunch as a four and had a lovely time. Food was great (the Thai honey halloumi fries are one of my favorite things to eat in Lancaster!), our server Grace was lovely, and the music was great too. It’s always a top choice for us for a weekend lunch 🩷”
