About Jacks at Woodlakes
Jacks at Woodlakes is an English restaurant in Kings Lynn, on Woodlakes Leisure Park. On the last Friday of the month, a magician circulates between the tables, which gives diners some entertainment alongside their meal. The menu includes a Sunday roast with lamb and gravy, plus pizzas such as the halloumi pizza, and cocktails are available to go with the food. A separate vegan menu runs alongside the main one, so vegan diners have their own set of dishes and desserts to choose from. A specials board carries desserts, including an oreo cheesecake. The restaurant is walk-in.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast draws the most praise, with diners singling out incredibly tender lamb in rich gravy and portions described as large and hearty. Close behind are the halloumi pizza, the pork belly, and a full English breakfast with a cappuccino one visitor calls the best they have tasted. Scotch eggs and pizzas also impressed at a baby shower held in the bar area. A separate vegan menu earns its own mention, with cheesy garlic bread, a vegan milkshake made on request, and vegan cheesecakes and brownie on offer. Reviewers repeatedly describe friendly, attentive staff, a host who checks on tables, and a magician circulating on one Friday a month. Value for money comes up several times. The main complaint is one detailed account of a rushed, rude welcome: a diner says the waitress told them she had no minutes to spare while they looked at the menu, then waited a very long time for a coffee and cancelled the food order. Another reviewer wants more parking on busy nights. When one couple had no room for dessert, the host sent them home with a cornflake tart on the house.

“Absolute chaos. Rude staff. Before I even sat down when being shown to the table the waiting staff said "what do you want" i hadn't even looked at the menu. I asked for a few minutes to look at the menu to which the waitress replied "I haven't got a few minutes" so I quickly made an order from being presurisd. When looking around the staff was rushed off their feet basically throwing customers orders at them. One staff member fell over. Waited a long time for a coffee, nearly 45 mins, cancelled food order as terrible experience all round just waiting and waiting and being spoken to rudely. Nice setting, shame about the restaurant.”

“We stayed on site last weekend and popped in for some cheeky cocktails during our stay. The host was fantastic and the service across the board was very friendly and attentive. Not to mention the pork belly was to die for!”

“Another lovely night at Jack's. Food was delicious as always, I had the hallloumi pizza which was stunning. There were lots of tempting choices on the specials board (oreo chesecake was amazing and a very generous portion). Service amazing as always. The staff always make everyone feel welcome and check on the tables throughout your visit and making sure food is arriving promptly at the table. Added bonus of the magician circulating tables (last Friday of the month, I believe) who was fantastic. Only criticism: perhaps more parking spaces for those busy nights!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely brilliant find! Living over in Poland, a proper English breakfast is a massive rarity for us, so my wife and I always make it a point to treat ourselves whenever we're back home in England. I have to say, the breakfast here at Jack's was hands down one of the best we've ever had. The food was spot on, but a special shout-out has to go to the cappuccino—honestly think it’s the best I’ve ever tasted. The staff were super friendly, incredibly helpful, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Since we have family close by, we will absolutely be returning next time we're back. A well-deserved 5 stars from us. Cheers, team!”

“I love that there is a separate vegan menu here! They were happy to make a vegan milkshake for me, as it's not something that they usually do (it did cost me £1 extra)... The vegan cheesy garlic bread was actually my favourite thing out of all the food. 😍 Service was fantastic. All of the staff were friendly, yet still professional. I wish I had room to try one of their desserts, with 2 vegan cheesecakes AND a vegan brownie on offer - I really missed out there! But I was just too full 😂 I'll be back at some point for dessert! 💚”
