About The Niche Restaurant
The Niche Restaurant is an eclectic restaurant in the city of Irvine, located at 106 Montgomery St. Portions are large, starters included, so a first course arrives as a full plate rather than a small opener. The team takes orders quickly, and service stays quick from the first order to the last. Guests who cannot finish a plate can take the leftovers home in a doggy bag, which suits groups that order generously.

Customer Review Summary
Generous portions are the most repeated draw, with reviewers noting that even the starters are massive and that an afternoon tea was so plentiful a doggy bag was needed. Standouts include chunky chips with haggis and peppercorn sauce, soft in the middle, along with halloumi fries paired with honey and satay chicken skewers. Others single out stir-fried noodles with fresh veg and a rich sauce, a cocktail, and the millionaire sundae. Close behind is the staff, described repeatedly as friendly and helpful. One reviewer praised how quickly orders were taken, and another had a waitress who shared all of her recommendations. A few mention a nice atmosphere, and one diner seated across from the kitchen enjoyed watching the plates come out. One brunch visitor arrived mid-afternoon wanting pancakes, which were not on the menu then, and a staff member checked with the kitchen for leftover mix and came back with a yes.

“Came here Easter Monday for some brunch and my friend and I were super in the mood for pancakes. Walked in around 3pm and spoke to Chloe asked if Niche offered pancakes, was told it was part of the breakfast menu, however, she kindly said she’d go and check if the kitchen had any leftover mix to see if they would be able to offer them to us. She came back and said the kitchen were able to do that for us and we were seated with such a warm welcoming energy. Food was incredible and staff were incredibly generous and generally so helpful with anything we needed. Had the best experience and 100% will come back. Chloe is a total gem! Loved her vibe ☺️”
