  “Honestly, absolutely disgusting behaviour from the manager. I came in the other day and was shocked by how rude and unprofessional he was towards his staff. I was speaking to one of the staff members and all I could hear was the manager constantly shouting their name and barking orders at them. It was incredibly rude and uncomfortable to witness and the staff genuinely seemed stressed and under pressure. The food was just as disappointing. The bacon was burnt and rock hard and the sausages tasted old. I was sat on table 8 and went in for what i thought would be a lovely breakfast but unfortunately my morning was ruined. As a manager, he should be setting an example and treating his staff with respect, but his attitude was absolutely appalling. There is no excuse for speaking to people like that. The whole experience was awful, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend this place based on the service, food and completely unprofessional management.”

  “We recently used Robbie Johnson’s Cafe to cater for one of our Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce networking events, providing nearly 50 breakfast sandwiches, and we couldn’t have been happier with the service. Everything arrived at our event location on time and ready for the morning, and the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. Catering for a large group isn’t always easy, but the whole process was seamless, reliable and professionally handled. The team were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout, and we were really impressed with both the quality of the food and their ability to cater for an event of this size. As one of the largest business organisations of our kind in the region, we’re always pleased to support and recommend excellent local businesses, and Robbie Johnson’s Cafe certainly deserves the recognition. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality catering in Hull. We will certainly be using them again for future events. Keep up the fantastic work!”

  “It’s rare you get a cafe with such a nice owner but the owner here was so kind, polite, attentive and showed compassion to contractors in the hot weather. Lovely drinks and snacks and would come back again!”

  “Just had a lovely lasagne meal here. Was absolutely the best I have had anywhere. Thankyou to Chris and Sylvia for their cooking. The best cafe in town run by a lovely manager and staff.”

  “We were looking for a new breakfast place for our girly meet ups! I have always loved RH's for the lunch but never experienced the breakfast. Oh my gosh, we have found our new breakfast place. Fantastic prices, fantastic staff, portion size is spot on and great value. I am a wheelchair user and before we asked a ramp was brought out and chairs moved to accommodate us. I didn't feel like a burden at all. Every member of staff was so friendly for first thing in a morning. Then we saw the home made cakes, I may be making a lunch try soon to sample.”

  “Owner here is very friendly. Food good hubby had ploughman’s lunch I had corned beef sandwich. Came with side salad and potato salad. Stuffed! Will have to go back to sample one of their scones or puddings another day x”

  “Visited for lunch last week to have lunch with a friend . This was my first visit and very disappointing. Ordered the quiche from the specials board this was £14 per person , what you get is a small piece of quiche, very small amount of salad and a dollop of coleslaw all of which was tasteless . The coleslaw was thick like cream and had no tang and was extremely tasteless as was the quiche . I will not be returning for another visit.”

  “Excellent quality afternoon tea. Staff were very accommodating and we were chuffed to see Yorkshire curd cheesecake was available. Sandwiches were also delicious - so much filling! We can't comment on the price as we were given a voucher as a gift.”

  “First time in years visiting this place. It is always a pleasure to visit. Kind friendly staff and exceptional food and prices. Great idea location while visiting the town centre. Milkshakes are a must try! Or even just a simple coffee.”
