Customer Review Summary
Reviewers mostly come for a coffee or cup of tea after shopping in the supermarket, and several describe the coffee as nice. Cakes, light meals and breakfast and brunch round out the menu, and one reviewer praises the selection and quality of the food. Staff come across as friendly and welcoming, with one noting that nothing is too much trouble. Another was left waiting a few minutes while staff unpacked and found the room a bit chilly despite piping hot coffee. Others call the atmosphere peaceful and comfy. The food draws the sharpest criticism: one breakfast visit brought avo on toast that was a fraction of an avocado on dry toasted bread, plus a cheesy croissant in a similar style, and the diner found both basic. Drink accuracy is the other complaint, from a reviewer who twice had orders go wrong, most recently a hazelnut cappuccino that arrived as a latte with no syrup.

“Was nice coffee, although we were ignored for a few minutes as staff were busy unpacking. They were very friendly though. It was early morning so the place was quiet, while the coffee was piping hot the restaurant was a bit chilly, and I'm always hot so for me to notice was unusual. Nothing happened that would put me off a return visit. Overall a pleasant experience and would recommend.”

“We called in 9am on a Friday for the first time to try a breakfast. An electronic menu offered a small selection of breakfast items as well as drinks. We ordered Avo on toast and a cheesy croissant along with two coffees. The food items were the basic that I had ever been served. The coffee was OK. My Avo on toast was literally a fraction of an Avo spread in a dry slice of toasted bread. Nothing else on the plate. £5 for each portion of food. The croissant was of a similar style and price. They tasted OK and the staff were pleasant but it reminded my of Acorn Antiques.”
