Customer Review Summary

The full English breakfast draws the strongest praise, with one diner calling it among the best they have had and another rating it excellent. Close behind are the homemade salmon fishcakes with sweet potato fries and coleslaw, and the avocado, salmon and eggs on sourdough. One group of about 35 enjoyed an afternoon tea served with tea, coffee or wine. Reviewers repeatedly highlight the dog friendly welcome, with a dedicated dog menu, blankets, water bowls and biscuits, along with the outdoor terrace. Staff are described as friendly, attentive and hard working, and several call the food homemade, locally sourced and reasonably priced. The only criticism of the atmosphere is the music, which one reviewer found a bit too loud, while another thought the background guitar sat at just the right level. Reviewers mention being serenaded by an acoustic guitarist on a Saturday morning.

“A little gem of a place. Food is excellent and it's good to see that it's all locally sourced and home made. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming even if the music is a bit too loud. Staff are attentive, and friendly but never too much, Owen is superb at his job.”

“I enjoyed a lovely afternoon with a group of about 35 friends at Croft Park. We had a scrumptious afternoon tea served with lots of tea and coffee, or wine. The staff, some of whom were youngsters, worked really hard to care for us all, nothing was too much trouble. It was our second venture to Croft Park. I would definitely go again.”

“One of the best, if not the best full English breakfasts I’ve ever had. My wife’s breakfast of Avocado, Salmon and eggs on sourdough was exceptional too. Staff were excellent which all contributed to a superb dining experience. Croft Park Cafe was a Chat GPT recommendation. What a find! Can’t wait to visit next time we’re in the area.”

“Dropped in for the first time and very pleasantly surprised, great outdoor dog friendly seating area and air-conditioned indoor seating. The food was excellent, catered for my wife's glutton issue, what more to say. If you fancy a nice stop, off the beaten track give it a go. We will certainly go again.”

“I recently had the pleasure of eating at Croft Park Cafe. I had the homemade Salmon Fishcakes with sweet potatoe fries. I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The salmon fishcakes were absolutely delicious, full of flavour. Superbly cooked and clearly made with quality ingredients. The sweet potatoe fries were perfectly crisp and complemented the fishcakes wonderfully. What really stood out too was the presentation. The homemade coleslaw was fresh, tasty and the accompanying salad was presented lovely, making the whole dish look as amazing as it tasted. You can tell that a lot of care and attention goes into every meal and plate that leaves the kitchen. The service from the staff was fantastic too, friendly, welcoming, attentive and genuinely passionate about ensuring customers have a great experience. This is such an amazing cafe, serving outstanding food in a lovely atmosphere especially when eating in the outdoor terrace. Croft Park Cafe is highly recommended for anyone who loves homemade food. Thankyou”
