  “Incredible fish n chips after lovely walk. Visited Mr Chips while staying in Holmfirth, soo glad we did. All food was freshly cooked and delicious. The fish in particular was exceptional, enjoyed with Irish curry sauce and jalapeno bites. The young lads serving are top , great customer service. The shop itself is lovely and clean and the owner really cares about his customer's, he clearly takes pride in his business. A brilliant local chip shop which deserves awards , I would happily return when next in the area. Keep up the good work guys God bless 🙏”

  “Absolutely fantastic experience at Mr Chips! The fish is so fresh with a perfectly crispy batter, and the chips are spot on. The team under the new management is incredibly warm, welcoming, and fast. The place is exceptionally clean, and the generous portions for reasonable prices make it top-tier.   “Just tried the fish and chips from this place under the new ownership, and wow what a difference! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. Chips were golden, not greasy, and had that proper old-school chip shop flavor. You can tell the new owner takes pride in quality and service. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and everything looked cleaner and more inviting than before. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and the curry sauce was spot on rich, flavorful, and the perfect addition to the meal. If you haven’t been in a while, definitely give it another go it’s clear the new owner is doing things right. This might just become my new regular spot.”

  “Just visited on our way home, staff are unbelievably friendly and the food was great. The homemade tartar sauce was delicious and my only complaint is now I’m far too full! Highly recommend and will definitely visit again (also one of the few chippies in the area open on a Saturday night)”

  “Best fish and chips in town. Halal beef dripping used in frying for all fish and chips. Generous portion sizes. The fish size in the 'large fish and chips' is much bigger than what you get in other fish and chips takeaways in Huddersfield. Will definitely be going back.”

  “Wow 🤩 what a hidden gem 💎 I have been in the fish and chips trade for 30 years, we have family in Huddersfield and we're visiting today. We wanted some real traditional Fishnchips I was gobsmacked From the cleansiness, Food hygiene rating of 5, service and Mostly the food. The fish and chips were outstanding, Not a single mark on the food you could see the dripping was cleaned thoroughly Homemade tartar sauce to make the best even better. We even brought extra home reheated in the air fryer and it was superb I cannot rate this place enough. Whenever we are in the area this will be the place to go”

  “Tried this place for the first time the other day. Fish was massive, batter was so crispy and not greasy at all. Chips were perfect, nice and fluffy in the middle. Staff were very nice too, got our food very quick and prices were great. Easily the best fish and ships I’ve been too, will definitely be going back.”
