  “Car broke down so whilst waiting for recovery, discovered White Hart! Very friendly helpful staff, best fish n chips ive had in a long time! Food came quite quickly, became busy, as we left, we got there at 6.30. Nice menu. Glad we broke down 😀”

  “Absolutely stunning meal, generous portions and all clearly home cooked. Had the braised venison special with herb mash and heritage carrots and it was melt-in-the-mouth gorgeous. Desserts were equally as delicious. Staff were friendly and welcoming, taking the time to chat while showing genuine pride in what they do. I would very highly recommend and we will certainly return.”

  “Fantastic pub, they have a small area for a few campervans out the back with electric hook ups for £10 per night and plenty of outside seating. The waitresses were friendly and chatty. The local Norfolk brewery supplies them with ciders and ales, I enjoyed the Perry cider at 7.5%. The breakfast was excellent and the evening meals looked really good with good size portions. There are events a few times a week including motorbike meets, music and quizzes. I stayed for a few nights (solo traveller) and was made to welcome.”

  “We visited the Red Hart for Sunday lunch last Sunday. We haven’t been to the area for a few years & wanted to return to enjoy the superb Sunday lunches we had at this pub in the past. We were extremely disappointed by the quality of the expensive Sunday roast we were served. The food was bland, tasteless, vegetables undercooked & the the gravy was thin with no flavour. We ordered roast pork & expected a good amount of crackling but were served a minute piece! All in all, the Sunday Roast was very disappointing & expensive for the quality & certainly nothing like the superb food we had experienced at this pub previously. A big disappointment! Having said this, all the staff in the pub with outstanding & attentive.”

  “We tried this place for the first time. The steak wasn’t cooked how I asked I asked for medium rare. and it had no flavour lidles steaks are better. mushrooms were a tad undercooked to a bit hard. Not cheap either at all£25 with a sauce I’d expect better. I’ve had much nicer steaks from various places around the country”

  “The Red Hart Inn in Bodham is exactly what you want from a proper country pub. It’s warm, it’s welcoming, and it has that timeless charm that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into the heart of the village. The pints are kept beautifully, the food is hearty and comforting, and the locals are as much a part of the character as the beams on the ceiling. It is the kind of place where you can drop in muddy from a coastal walk, sink into a chair, and feel at home within five minutes. The menu is classic pub grub done well, and the portions are generous enough to keep even the hungriest walker or cyclist happy. Friendly staff, a cracking atmosphere, and a setting that oozes Norfolk countryside. If you’re after somewhere with real character and proper pub soul, the Red Hart is the place to be.”

  “Great food, fantastic beer, excellent service. This place has it all, great bars, lovely dining area, fantastic outdoor spaces and beer garden. Live music (twice during the week we were in the area). Highly recommended. Lovely village pub, well worth a visit.”

  “Lovely pub, great food. Ordered sausages & mash which was delish & everyone else enjoyed their meals too. Very cosy and relaxed atmosphere although the area we were in was empty (probably as we brought a dog so put in the dog friendly part of the pub). Only downside was the high prices but understandable due to increasing costs for pubs & restaurants. Staff were very kind and patient too.”

  “We had an excellent meal here on Tuesday evening, sausage and mash, gammon. Both were excellent and the service impeccable. Called again on Thursday evening and had a game pie and the steak burger, burger was good, game pie was good but unfortunately contained a sharp shard of bone. This issue was not dealt with very professionally and my reason for three stars instead of five.”
