  “Really liked it here... went for a tuesday night half price steak special and food came out super quickly. Team were all super friendly and up for laughs. Place is very dog friendly, and chatted about staff dogs whilst they asked us about our pup. 🐕”

  “My family and I went for the steak night on Tuesday and it was so reasonably priced, perfectly cooked and a brilliant vibe all round. A special mention to the front of house they were really attentive, friendly and genuinely interacting in conversation. The steak was cooked to perfection regardless of how busy it was as well as the atmosphere being chilled and laid back. We will definately be going back and making it a regular thing to do on a Tuesday night.”

  “Amazing pub! We visited on the recommendation of friends - staff were absolutely lovely, the atmosphere (inside & out!) is great, and the Sunday carvery was delicious and like having all the best parts of a homemade roast. Excited to visit again and try the barbecue setup outside. Big thanks to The Little Angel team!”

  “Really lovely food — we were pleasantly surprised by the coconut rice especially. The seasoning was very nice and it was really flavourful. You’re able to have a selection of meats for the Sunday Roast which was a new experience as well, which we appreciate. All in all, lovely service and a lovely pub. Would recommend!!”

  “While visiting from Vancouver Island, Canada we were seeking delicious food and 0% drinks. The Little Angel was a short walk from the hotel. What a great dinner! We ordered three starters and a bottle of wine, then we each had a main dish. The food was innovative with interesting sauces that had South African influences. Each dish was beautifully plated and mouth-wateringly good. Service was thoughtful and efficient with the right amount of attention. Ambiance was fun and lovely — good for our romantic dinner but also great for full tables of friends nearby. Good value, great food!”

  “The place is lovely and we had good time in there with hood people, The food I had was excellent but the roast beef was either too rare or over cooked, the turkey and pork was tastey and perfect, The drinks I had were great, staff was great”

  “Finished a walk along the Thames Path with lunch here. The food was really delicious and the service very friendly. Good to see the South African influences on the menu rather than the same old pub grub. Servings were generous! I was also really pleased to see a proper ale was available (Brakspear's Gravity) and that it was nicely kept.”

  “Delicious food and not your average pub! Beautiful decor and friendly staff. Loved GBT variety in the menu and it was well priced. The dessert was interesting and very indulgent - apricot sticky toffee pudding. Nice way to spend a Saturday”

  “The Sunday carvery was one of the best. A large selection of well cooked and flavourful meats, and every trimming you could want. The serving of meats is generous and the majority of sides are seasoned and cooked perfectly. Was not a fan of the parsnips, seemed they were undercooked, but that was the only blip on the meal. Finished off with a sticky toffee pudding which is sickly sweet (as you’d expect) but the cake is moist and the sauce is made well.”

  “A beautiful spot to stop off at on the way home from our wedding this week! We are so happy we found the Angel. We bought our fluffy chow chow dog and she had a snooze in front of the fireplace after a hectic week! It was relaxing with a lovely feel about the place, the service was great and we really liked the menu. The food was impressive and a step beyond the normal pub standard. My wife had the vegan bean and sausage stew which was absolutely delicious and it was great for to have several options available that weren’t the usual standard options given. I had the halloumi sticks and then the philli sandwich which was absolutely brilliant. Our lunch was the perfect end to the happiest week of our lives and we’d like to thank the Angel for being the little cherry on top! 🍒”
