Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out friendly, welcoming staff, with several describing a personal touch. Food praise centres on steaks cooked to each person's preference, plus the spicy chicken burger, fluffy scrambled eggs at the hot buffet breakfast, and a good range of vegan and vegetarian options. Reviewers repeatedly call the prices reasonable. Complaints cluster around breakfast and kitchen consistency. Two reviewers describe a breakfast worker who was rude or in a bad mood, one found the eggs overcooked and the toaster slow, and another waited just under an hour for an evening curry that had too much sauce, little chicken and half a naan. One was told only pollock was available for fish and chips and noticed a staff board about offering it after 6pm. One calls the venue tired, with carpets that are trip hazards. One celebration group arrived to a table with fresh flowers and a complimentary bottle of fizz.

“We booked a table to be sure for 7pm. Myself and my partner both ordered fish and chips, with bread and butter. The bread wasn't that fresh, we asked for it to be changed, they did, the replacement was slightly better. When we ordered, we were told they had no Cod or Haddock, only Pollock. As we were leaving, we noticed the employees performance board telling the staff to offer Pollock only after 6pm?? Come on, just just be honest!”

“The breakfast service was very poor! The lady at the desk was on her own to serve customers, top us the hot food and everything. She was in a very bad mood, which I understand as she was alone on the shop floor(however not an excuse) , pulling faces being quite difficult when she should be there to make customers happy……. It is not her fault, she was on the front line of all if it unfortunately, it is clearly down do bad management.”

“We booked a table for a big celebration and the team genuinely went above and beyond from the moment we arrived. The table was beautifully and unexpectedly dressed with a white cloth, fresh flowers, glasses and even a complimentary bottle of fizz. It set the tone for the whole evening. The staff were outstanding throughout. Ellie brought out the cake at the end and was so thoughtful and enthusiastic, which made the moment feel really special. The food was exceptional as well. Several of us ordered steaks and every single one was cooked perfectly to each person’s preference. You could tell real care had gone into it. The atmosphere was brilliant and we honestly could not have wished for a better experience. I want to personally thank the team. I asked for their names so I could leave this properly. Kieran (chef), and the bar staff Ellie, Lesia, Olivia and Skye. You all made our celebration unforgettable. Thank you!”

“We were served by 2 friendly, smiling and genuinely happy members of staff Megan and Sky. We did a last minute booking for dinner, myself, husband and my 10yr old daughter. The front of house lady was very welcoming, the waitress who took our orders and served us was equally as friendly, bubbly and smiling. We had a lovely dinner, portion sizes were spot on, everything cooked as requested. Very tasty meal. Upon paying , the waitress took payment and was genuinely interested on our time there. Could not have felt more welcomed and looked after. Thank you.”

“One lady who works the breakfast shift is incredibly rude when engaged with simple questions such as "can we have some tomato sauce when you have a moment please?" The eggs were absolutely anhilated, and the toaster is so slow that you may as well not bother with toast, but otherwise it was a standard breakfast. For our evening meal, we waited just under an hour for our food and the venue really wasn't busy. The curry in particular wasn't great, with way to much sauce, hardly any chicken and only half a naan bread. The venue itself is tired, and the carpets in some locations are real trip hazards. It's obvious the venue isn't care for by the owners or management.”
