“We visited several weeks ago whilst on Holiday. I was really pleased to find a pub in Cornwall that had vegetarian and gluten free options on their menu, loved that their food was basic good old home cooked style meals such as pies, lasagne and curry etc, fed up with pubs that cook all those fancy and over priced dishes such as shellfish, brie, goats cheese, fennel and other items I don't want to eat. Some of us just want meals we understand😄 The prices here were excellent value for money, and staff attentiveness and helpfulness was also excellent. I like the fact they support animal charities too. The only little gripe I have is that their back dining room is decorated in a bit of an austere way and lacking in ambience and colour, but thats just my taste and opinion. It was also had a lot of echo and if you have loud people at other tables this can be a problem, as a person with hearing issues I found it difficult to hear over the background noise at times, however it did have good spaces between tables in this room and one large table in the middle for larger get togethers. Next time I go I would probably sit in the front part of the pub. Would definately eat there again though. We did not book as not needed on a week day but you may need to book if wanting to sit in front of pub.”

“Nice home made food, busy with a nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Car park at the front, decent sized. Decent value for money. Not a high level dining experience but very homely and plenty of choice.”
