About The Bluff Inn

The Bluff Inn is a Wetherspoons pub in Hayle, at 18 Riviere Towans, on a Haven holiday park above the dunes. Its beer garden looks out over Hayle beach toward Carbis Bay and St Ives, so drinks and meals come with a view of the water. The menu follows the standard Wetherspoons range, with burgers, curries and mixed grills, and an all-day breakfast. Inside, the pub keeps the usual Wetherspoons style, with red tones. Orders go through the My Haven app, so guests do not queue at the bar. The pub takes walk-ins. The pay-to-park car park at the pub accepts coins only, while the car park over the road takes coins and online payment.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the view from the outdoor seating over Hayle beach toward St Ives, with several calling it the best Wetherspoons setting they have visited. Food is described as standard Spoons fare, with burgers, curries and breakfast mentioned, though one reviewer found the breakfast beans below par. Several say drinks cost more than a typical Spoons because the pub is part of a Haven holiday park. Parking draws complaints, including a car park that takes only coins, and one diner warns that seagulls swoop on food outside. Service splits: some call it good, while one reviewer describes a packed evening with people pushing in at the bar, a wrong order that never arrived, a burger reaching another customer with mayo after they asked for none, and a dismissive manager. Ordering through the My Haven app comes up repeatedly, and one family came back almost every night of their holiday.

“Great location, great views out onto Hayle beach. Outdoors seating is dog friendly. Whilst it's a Wetherspoons you can order through the My Haven app. Great value and you know exactly what the expect with a Wetherspoons.”

“What can I say about the bluff inn. We arrived 22/08/26,it was jam packed. The staff were slow like zombies, que was massive and people pushing in. No control and after 1hr of waiting, we got to the bar for server to say half way through "I'm going for a fag" I thought customers were main priority. Asked to speak to the manager his excuse was. I have to care about my staff and we're under staffed. But they had about 20 people on and his attitude and demeanor was "pftttt" The food came out wrong,we complained and asked for what we ordered. Waited for an hour just ate our dinner because we never received it. I said to the manager I can see why it is how it is here with the attitude you have. (He's very stuck up and I couldn't be bothered to continue the conversation with him) NEVER AGAIN We always ate here before it was a weatherspoons and loved it there. But not any more sadly. The view is beautiful though if you sit out. (Even another customer ordered a burger with no mayo and it came with it. Lucky they didn't have an egg allergy) I'm sad as I loved coming here”

“Absolutely stunning the view outside is absolutely beautiful probably the best spoons I've ever been too the beach is just a short walk away I'd definitely eat and drink here again. Location and atmosphere The Bluff Inn sits right above the dunes at Riviere Towans, giving it a more scenic setting than most Wetherspoons. It’s popular with holidaymakers, especially in summer, so expect a lively but not rowdy atmosphere. Inside is typical Spoons styling: functional, clean, and straightforward. Outside seating is the main draw when the weather is good. Food Food quality is standard Wetherspoon fare. Burgers, curries, mixed grills, and breakfasts are the most consistent options. Orders usually arrive quickly outside peak hours. During busy summer periods, wait times can increase, but the kitchen is generally reliable. Drinks Drinks are well‑priced with a rotating selection of guest ales. Cold drinks and coffees are refillable, which is useful if you’re staying nearby or visiting the beach. Service Service is efficient for a high‑footfall coastal Spoons. Staff are used to dealing with holiday crowds and tend to keep tables cleared. Ordering through the app is usually faster than queueing at the bar. Cleanliness The Bluff Inn is well maintained considering its beachside location. Floors and tables are kept tidy, and the toilets are generally in good condition. - Best times to visit — Early mornings and weekday afternoons are the quietest. - Avoiding peak crowds — Summer evenings and weekends get very busy due to holidaymakers. - Best seating — If the weather is good, the outdoor seating offers the best experience. Indoors, the back area is quieter. - Food reliability — Stick to core menu items: burgers, curries, all‑day brunch, and small plates. - Ordering tips — Use the app to avoid queues, especially during summer. - Parking advice — Parking at Riviere Towans can fill up quickly in peak season; arrive early if visiting the beach first. - Beach access — The pub is a short walk from the dunes; ideal for combining a meal with a beach visit. - Family suitability — It’s family‑friendly, with plenty of seating and predictable menu options.”

“Absolutely phenomenal views. You have the classic spoons spilling out onto an unspoilt view across Carbis bay and St Ives. You cant really compare that to anything else. If your a spoons fan - this one is ran by Haven as its on a holiday park so drinks are naturally more expensive. That being said I thought it was still reasonable giving the view/ overheads in the area. This is on a holiday park so there are elements that come with that- regardless still worth a visit”

“Great Wetherspoon , the best one I’ve ever been in with the view. Food was great, service was good, prices are more than a normal. Wetherspoon due to this one being part of Haven Holidays. You need to download the Haven app to order, but it’s an overall 10/10”
