About Everest Abercorn
Everest Abercorn is a bar and diner style restaurant at 78 Stanmore Hill in Stanmore, serving Indian cooking with East Asian touches. Starters include the chilli garlic mogo, and mains include butter chicken, with naan on the side as a chilli, cheese and garlic version. Grilled fish and paneer dishes sit alongside the meat plates, so the menu extends past the curries. Everything is halal. A private dining room gives groups a separate space to eat together. Reservations are required.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the chicken lollipop and the Chilli Garlic Mogo starters, with grilled prawns also praised as huge, and several mention the butter chicken, which went down well with children. Lamb bhuna and keema get credit from some diners, though another found the lamb bhuna not so great. Naans draw split reactions: one calls the chilli, cheese and garlic naan a game changer, while another found the butter naan super hard and thick. Complaints centre on the food itself. One reviewer's Chilli Lamb arrived unevenly hot and cold as if reheated, and the team offered a replacement or another dish, so they chose the Mongolian Paneer. Others found the paneer tikka masala short on gravy, the veg manchurian very spicy, the veg biryani without spice, and the mains similar in sauce with smaller portions than expected. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive, and the room is called busy and filled with families and groups. One party celebrating a 70th birthday noted a private entrance and lift, and another mentioned limited parking when busy.

“We recently celebrated my mum's 70th birthday at Everest Abercorn in Stanmore, and we couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. From the planning through to the event itself, everything was incredibly well organised. A special thank you to Benny, who was an excellent communicator throughout and ensured the day ran seamlessly. The venue was perfect, with plenty of parking, a private entrance to the event space, and a private lift that made access easy for elderly guests and those with accessibility needs. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent, and the team went above and beyond to cater for all dietary requirements. Our guests were full of compliments about both the food and the venue, and everyone had a fantastic time. Thank you to Benny and the whole team for making my mum's 70th birthday such a memorable celebration. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Everest Abercorn for anyone looking to host a special event.”

“We had a very enjoyable meal and the standout dishes were the Lamb Bhuna and Keema, both of which were full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The Butter Chicken was a hit with the children, while the Methi Chicken was pleasant, although the Chicken Masala wasn't quite to our taste. The starters were good overall, and my mum particularly enjoyed the Sabji Miloni. The staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming throughout our visit, with a special mention to Premisha, who provided exceptional customer service and made us feel very well looked after. A great dining experience and we would happily return.”

“We had a fantastic dining experience at Everest Abercorn in Stanmore. Despite arriving without a reservation, the team kindly accommodated us and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the Lamb Rogan Josh, Butter Chicken, Desi Chicken and a paneer dish, all of which were packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. The standout for us was the chilli, cheese and garlic naan – a complete game changer and one of the best naans we've ever had! The service was equally impressive. Sohil looked after us brilliantly, offering friendly, attentive service and making some excellent recommendations that really enhanced our meal. Combined with the beautiful décor and warm atmosphere, Everest Abercorn delivers an outstanding dining experience. If you're looking for a high-quality Indian restaurant in Stanmore, this place is a must-visit. We will definitely be returning.”

“We had been there today, the food was not good. Butter naan was super hard and thick . Paneer tika masala was not so good taste and no gravy was there. Veg manchurian was very spicy and we only liked the egg fried rice. Chicken lollipop was also ok taste and lamb bhuna was not so great. Would recommend to prepare better quality food . ambience and service was very good.”
