  “Thought we'd try something new as it's closer to home. Ordered a salt & pepper much box with Thai fried rice. Shocking to say the least. No Flavour what so ever, only thing flavoured was the salt on the chips. How they've got 4 stars I don't know. If you want a proper Chinese go King Du, if there not open Lotus House. I'd rather have Mc D's than eat here again.”

  “Waited ann hour and 15 minutes for fish and chips to be delivered. When I opened the bag it was in, the grease had completely soaked throgh the paper. What was inside was just an oil slick. 2 pieces of cod were inside and the crispy batter was non existent. Tried to revive it in the air fryer, but was a hopeless cause. Even the kiss of life or a defibrillator wouldn't have revived it. Completely spoilt our friday night of not having to cook. The biggest mistake I made was ordering it from Kingsmoor. I meant to order from Sun Kwong, where it is always edible and on time. Poor show Kingsmoor. No wonder there's soon to be a shortage of oil!!!”

  “Wow! 1st time using these guys and will be using again and again and again! Bloody lovely! So much meat in our chow mein dishes and we had 4 so wasnt just a lucky pot, full of flavour, not greasy in the slightest, fresh tasting, no weird stale smell like some Chinese have, can't recommend enough! Was even daring and tried something we'd never had or heard of....beef udon and that was lovely too! Also great prices and not a hideous wait time especially seeing as its Friday and pay day (end of the month)”

  “After continually trying to find an alternative to the best Chinese takeaway in Harlow, but unfortunately the most expensive, Zenz, we decided to give Kingsmoor a go after reading the positive reviews. Unfortunately even reviews can’t always be trusted. The portion sizes were great but food overall lacked any real flavour. The crispy honey pork was devoid of flavour. The egg fried rice was the same. The chicken and cashew was ok but you had to play ‘hunt the cashews’. Zenz is more expensive but it is everything that all the takeaways in Harlow aren’t. Tasty, well prepared and always a joy to eat. We have resigned ourselves to the fact that we will have to spend a bit more money in future and return to Zenz. For us that is where the ‘bar’ has been set.”

  “We ordered a Munchbox, walked in. Within 15 minutes the food was ready. Food made my partner vomit within an hour of eating, and myself a day later with a bad stomach. We hadn’t eaten anything out of the norm until that day so can only put this down to the food we ate from this restaurant. I saw a piece of chicken in the food was slightly pink so disregarded that piece but after my partner was puking made us wonder if there had been poorly cooked meat throughout the dish. The battered squid was overly rubbery and probably had been in their freezer for a long time. Wouldn’t order from this place again.”

  “The special chow mein was fresh but lacked enough meat. The chips were OK. The chicken fried rice had clearly been precooked and reheated. This is the best way to get salmonella. :( Decoration of the shop is dire.”
