Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the family-run kitchen's generous portions and tasty dishes, with the pancake duck starter and mixed platter singled out as favourites. Close behind are the beef and seafood mains, the sweet and sour sea bass fillet, and prawn toast that travelled well as takeaway. Reviewers also mention food kept hot on hot plates, a toffee apple or banana with ice cream for dessert, and a friendly owner and staff in a warm atmosphere. A smaller group reports real problems. One delivery order arrived with flat, heavy chicken ball batter, boiled-tasting chicken in the fried noodles and oddly greasy shredded chilli beef. Another reviewer says takeaway orders came out wrong for the third time running. A third describes asking for extra Singapore paste on the vermicelli noodles and receiving plain, pale noodles, then being told by the person on the phone that the restaurant does not make changes to dishes, before a replacement was agreed by delivery.

“June 26. Food delivered. Reasonable delivery time which was met. Food really poor. I’ve never had chicken balls where the batter was flat and heavy and like cardboard. Chicken in the fried noodles was like reconstituted and boiled. Shredded chilli beef tasted weird and everything had an odd greasy smell and feel. Could be a poor chef or cheap ingredients or both, but either way I won’t be back.”
