About Coro Lounge

Coro Lounge is a restaurant in Kingswalk in Gloucester city centre, and it belongs to the Lounge group of restaurants. It occupies the site of the former Chambers and keeps the same layout. Board games and toys are on hand for younger guests, and dogs get treats of their own, so a visit can include the whole household. Breakfast runs to an English veg breakfast and pancakes. Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the food at Coro Lounge, describing it as delicious, with an English veg breakfast and pancakes named by one parent who also enjoyed the mocktails, and another visitor stopping in for a cake and a hot chocolate. Close behind is the friendly, welcoming service, with several noting orders arrive quickly and portions are large. Others praise the decor and relaxed atmosphere, and one who knew the site as Chambers calls the decor much better now. The caveat comes from a first-time visitor who found the food slow to arrive and not special, saw gaps in the woodwork and patchy paint around the toilet door frames, and noted some waiting staff looked scruffy while bar staff were smartly dressed. That reviewer also found the room quite loud, which could be hard for anyone prone to sensory overload, and put the issues down to a recent opening. Another says a few small areas of the food could have been better, yet both say they would return.

“Really nice place with a relaxed atmosphere and a good selection of food and drinks. The setting is stylish without feeling too formal, and the service was friendly and attentive. The food was enjoyable overall, although there were a few small areas where it could have been better. Still, it’s a pleasant spot for a casual meal or drinks, and I’d happily visit again.”
