Not only did we enjoy a first-class meal (crispy battered fish and well-cooked, non-greasy chips) but dined in a characterful building, heard about its long history and had very interesting conversations with the staff. “My first order was through Just Eat and, unfortunately, the driver marked it as delivered when it never arrived. I contacted the restaurant, and they were incredibly apologetic. They remade my entire order fresh and had it delivered beautifully packaged at no extra cost. That level of customer service really impressed me. I was initially disappointed and left a negative review, but I’m happy to correct the impression here. I give genuine reviews, and I can honestly say this is one of the best restaurants I’ve tried in Gloucester. Excellent food and exceptional customer service. Highly recommended! ❤️”
