“Great setting with amazing history and views. The mill exhibition next door is well worth a visit, giving a feel for the industrial revolutions impact on the area. Also lots of scenic walks around that mill and hotel grounds.”

“Have just visited this restaurant for the first time after a recommendation. The service was excellent as was the food which was cooked to perfection.We had a three course lunch and the portions were just right, neither too big or too small. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. This is a gem of a restaurant with lovely decor and a pleasant relaxing atmosphere. We were very impressed and will definitely dine there again in the future.”

“Just went in to try this local place for the first time based on recommendations. Extensive menu, took my time, had a good look. Placed my order and paid. They said it'll take 10 minutes so I asked if I could use the toilet and a short woman told me: "No, it's for customers." As you can imagine, I'm utterly perplexed. I had to go across the road to the petrol pump. I don't care what the food tastes like, its getting launched. I'll start spreading the word. I'm familiar with all the neighbouring takeaways, some are friends of mine. I can't wait to have my next interaction with the staff.”
