  “Super disappointed, seen the reviews and was excited to eat here. However after ordering our food we were shocked at the poor quality. My friend had the roast beef sandwich which was inedible. I had the mac and cheese which was watery and had no taste, another friend had a chicken and bacon wrap which was rock solid she could hit it off her plate. The chips were fine. After waiting awhile for someone to collect our plates a male waiter with a ponytail collected, we said we were disappointed with the food, the waiter was so dismissive and rude he never even let us finish speaking before walking away. We are not the type of people to complain, had the waiter taken our feedback and been polite we would have left it at that. This was not the case, the food was shocking and the service from that waiter was appalling, he was completely uninterested.”

  “I had an extremely disappointing experience. The food was completely inedible and had to be sent back, yet nothing was done to resolve the issue. To make matters worse, the waiter was incredibly rude, dismissive, and made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. The service was by far the worst I’ve ever experienced. Good customer service costs nothing, but unfortunately it was completely lacking here. I won’t be returning, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.”

  “Staff were brilliant, very attentive and friendly. Food was ok. Cullen skunk starter was lovely, chicken Caesar just ok as it was a bit dry. Good reasonably priced but obviously drinks put the bill way up.”

  “The food was superb. We had fish and chips, venison haunch steak, and a beef burger. Really good. Sat in a circular booth which was very fun. Service was excellent even though the place was quite busy.”

  “Contacted Loks prior to our booking to make them aware of some celebrations that we were having, the staff offered us some complimentary drinks on arrival (most sadly driving but the offer was really appreciated). I arrived earlier than the other guests to set up and the staff were on hand offering help at every turn. Our hosts were attentive, friendly, bubbly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent, all plates cleared! A great experience and we will definitely be back.”

  “Second visit here, staff very nice. The decor is lovely and nice a chilled. I had Sunday roast beef, which was a bit fatty. Some more veg would have been nice but was still a nice meal. Daughter had piri piri chicken burger, again a big portion. My mum had fish and chips which she said was good. A bit overpriced I would say, I don’t think I would go back.”

  “GREAT STAFF AND LOVELY FOOD Been to Loks on a number of occasions, including at an event in their substantial function room. The food has always been very good, particularly for the price. The restaurant's interior is smart and well layed out, table-wise and also has a number of booths which are brill for couples, families or business lunches. For me though, the staff win the prize, always so pleasant and accomodating. Nothing seems to be a problem service-wise. I will definitely be back and would recommend it to others. Well done folks!”

  “First time visit to the bar area for a birthday event. A little off the beaten track but I was really impressed. Friendly staff and a nice cosy, intimate bar area. Some interesting craft beer options and an upmarket feel. Looking forward to returning to try the food in the near future. Very family friendly”
