Customer Review Summary

Reaching the island by boat is the draw reviewers raise most, whether on the restaurant's ferry from the mainland or by mooring a private boat. Diners call it a unique, fun way to arrive, and the loch views get repeated praise. Close behind is the food in generous portions: a casserole, fish, beef and haggis burgers, and chicken pakora and haggis starters, plus desserts, local beers, and plenty of gin and whiskey. Staff are described as friendly and accommodating. The caveats are specific. One reviewer describes a long wait for the food, though they found it fantastic. Another was disappointed by only seven or eight chips on the plate, and a dog owner wished water had been offered and found the sign about sandy or wet shoes unwelcoming. One suggests allowing extra time when renting a boat. A few finish with a walk, up to the island's highest point or through the sheep field after dinner.

“Beautiful scenery. Lovely to access a restaurant via boat, felt very new and fun. The staff were fine, the decor is fine, it was a long long wait for the food BUT the food was FANTASTIC! Really great, and in the end worth the wait and the novelty of the boating up to it. If renting a boat on Loch Lomond allow extra time to include a trip to Inchmurrin Restaurant.”
