About Beirut Star
Beirut Star is a Lebanese restaurant in Glasgow, based in a refurbished tenement house with big windows just off Paisley Road West. The menu starts with mezze, including a mixed hummus plate that brings together beetroot, classic and spicy hummus. Fattoush salad sits alongside it, as do borek filled with cheese and grilled halloumi served with pesto. For a main course, the shwarma plate comes with a choice of rice or chips. The grill covers a mixed grill, lamb kebab and chicken skewers. Meals can finish with baklava and coffee.

Customer Review Summary
Hummus is the most frequent draw at Beirut Star, with reviewers praising the spicy version, the beetroot and classic styles, and a mixed plate for those who can't choose. Close behind are the grills, including tender lamb, juicy charcoal-grilled chicken, lamb kebab, chicken skewers and a mixed grill. Diners also name the fattoush, halloumi with pesto, a buttery cheese borek, prawns, aubergine and baklava with coffee. Service is described as friendly, helpful and welcoming, and the room as warm, family-run and modern, with big windows and music at a good volume. Portions are called plentiful, and one reviewer who ordered widely found the bill fair. The only caution comes from a match-day diner, who notes that other tables were reserved and the place is very busy, though staff still found them a table. One shawarma plate was so large that the table struggled to finish it and was offered the rest to take away.

“This place is about as good as it gets. From the moment we walked in, the vibes were perfect: warm, welcoming, comfortable, and family-run. We ordered a lot of amazing food, but for me the absolute standout was the borek (which I think would also be accurately described as a cheese sambousek, also). Buttery, warm, and incredibly comforting. Our mains included lamb so tender it was falling apart on the fork and the juiciest charcoal-grilled chicken we've ever had. It should also be said that every staff member we interacted with was really friendly and attentive - the service stood out. We cannot wait to come back!”
