Customer Review Summary
Pasta draws the most mentions, with reviewers naming spaghetti pescatore, pasta alla pescadore, fettuccine al salmone, penne salsicia, seafood ravioli and spaghetti carbonara, most of them called delicious or excellent. Close behind are a chicken parma described as tasty, king prawn gamberoni to start and a sea bass dish. An Aperol spritz and an Argentinian Malbec turn up among the drinks, and a couple of reviewers praise the choice of wines. Diners describe friendly, kind staff and a warm, romantic atmosphere with beautiful lighting, and a few say they will be back. Service is where the complaints gather. One couple had to ask to place their order, and the server did not know the dessert of the day, which was sticky toffee pudding. On a busy Saturday Christmas night out, another reviewer saw waiters spilling drinks while running around and waited quite a while for desserts to arrive.

“We visited the Italian Kitchen on Friday 26th June. We were really excited as never been before and regular visitors to the competition on both sides. The food was outstanding but the service lacked the quality that we expect. Very slow to take order we had to ask which is not usual, server didn't know what the dessert of the day was but overhead him telling the table next door it was sticky toffee pudding. Food top notch, ambience lovely but service lacked the fine detail so unlikely to return.”

“I cannot recommend The Italian Kitchen enough! Everything we had was superb... absolutely delicious from start to finish! The staff there were friendly, attentive, and helpful. Przemo, our server, was knowledgeable, pleasant, and kind. My dish, the spaghetti pescatore was delicious, and a fellow diner described her chicken as "quite possibly the best meal ever!" The selection of wines is good... we enjoyed the Argentinian Malbec. If you are looking for a great place to dine out in Glasgow, don't miss The Italian Kitchen!”
