“Lovely food. Seafood linguine was a delight. They fitted us in, booking just an hour before. Service was a bit of an issue. Wine recommendation was to 'go to tesco', the subsequent secret 'better wine' was not as nice as the Merlot originally chosen, plus overcharged us for it and 2 side orders were overcooked and inedible. We were told service charge wasn't optional (as we wanted to reflect our feeling on service) but were again quite rudely dealt with when we didn't pay the 20% Such a shame as so much potential to be incredible with the amazing food. Just the oddball waiter just changed the entire vibe of the place.”

“Celebration menu. We had just bought our new house and booked table to celebrate. Food was good as usual but was slapped down on table. Waiting staff seemed disinterested and bored. Barely talked to us nor acknowledged our presence for most of time there. Tried to order a second bottle of wine to celebrate but told surily that they were closing early and no time. So much for us trying to celebrate! Why take bookings at 7.30 for the celebration menu if you're closing at 9.30? We felt the staff were pulling an early night despite lots of people still in restaurant. Very sad and disappointed as we used to be loyal and regular customers.”

“Went with a group of 30 from work and service was perfect from meal to drinks. Couldn't fault anything from food to friendliness of staff who couldn't be anymore helpful and pleasant”

“Came here for lunch, it was great. Food was tasty. I had the haggis bonbon starter and lasagne main. Lasagne came right after I finished the starter so it's well timed in that regard. Average wait time, I think it was around 15-20 minutes. Was asked for a drinks order a minute or so after sitting down. I know other reviewers didn't like the service recently but I greatly enjoyed how little I was talked to. It let me just eat my lunch and read a book in peace. -1 star for the atmosphere since the room felt kinda cramped yet exposed. No other issues though, and it was nice and quiet.”

“Nice decor inside and friendly front desk. The service was very slow, from waiting to place an order, to receiving food, to asking for the check, to paying the bill (so be aware). Recommend avoiding the seafood special dish. The rice was hard and crusty. The “special” is basically the mussels appetizer and sea bass filet, with 1 shrimp, 1 scallop, and 1 bite of monk fish. The cooking appears to just heat the food, and then the sauce is placed separately on the bottom of the plate below the food.”
