About Bar Vini
Bar Vini is an Italian restaurant at 80 Victoria Rd in Glasgow, built around a small menu that changes and draws on Italian influences. Because the dishes rotate, the kitchen keeps its list short, and the items named here may not always be on it. The drinks side centres on low-intervention wines poured by the glass, with classic cocktails alongside. Starters include focaccia, often shared across the table, and the pasta dishes include paccheri with king prawns. Tiramisu serves as the dessert.

Pasta and focaccia anchor the praise at Bar Vini, with the lasagne, the paccheri with king prawns and the barlotti bean pasta all named, and the focaccia and burrata shared as starters. Tiramisu comes up repeatedly, with one reviewer calling the portion massive, and an affogato and the mussels also earn mentions. Cocktails are called great and beautiful, and the staff are described as friendly and relaxed, with one server turning the volume down when asked.

“Came here about two years ago and was blown away by the quality and vibe. Two year later and it is still a great place. Food is delicious, comfortably above your average Italian. Cocktails great. Nice dark and comfy vibe too. A few things though: the food took ages to come out. It's a very relaxed place but it took about 30 mins for our starters to come out. It is also quite expensive but the quality of food makes up for it somewhat. Lastly, I know it's a relaxed, loud and lively place or whatever but the playlist they had on was a bit disruptive when you're eating big hot meaty pasta dishes. The big bad wolf played at some point and I started getting palpitations trying to munch faster.”

“Only had drinks there but it's a great little bar/restaurant. The atmosphere is good and the staff were super friendly. They went above and beyond to help us with an issue with our accommodation (nothing to do with them). Next time we are in Glasgow we'll def be going back for a meal.”

“Food is really nice but a little over priced for what you get. I was with a group and we shared the focaccia and burrata as a starter, both very nice with a lovely hint of garlic and chillie in the burrata. For main I had the barlotti bean pasta, it was very tasty but nothing exceptional for the price and the pasta was a tad el dente. My main issue with the place was the crazy music. It was way too loud and felt more appropriate to pilling on a beach in Ibiza, not at all the vibe me and my friends were aiming for. The waitress was lovely and turned the volume down a bit but it was a talking point all evening amongst the table.”

“10/10! Came with friends for dinner on Friday night and had a lovely time. We got the focaccia to share which was lovely and each got a pasta. To finish I got the tiramisu and my friend the affogato. Both were delicious. Service was really friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend 🤩”

“Great food. Lasagne and focaccia outstanding. Music is a relentless beat, over and over, never stops, no variety and so not a relaxing vibe. Makes you want to leave sooner rather stay for longer. If going for dance/club vibe should really be playing a sunset type of Ibiza playlist.”
