Customer Review Summary

Reviewers return to Daily above all for the coffee, with the flat white singled out by one reviewer and several calling it among the best in Dennistoun or Glasgow. Close behind is the welcoming owner, described as friendly and generous, and a setup that one reviewer says feels unpretentious despite the specialist coffee. Pastries and cakes come up often, including an apricot, almond and raspberry compote tartelette and the sourdough, while the shop also sells wine, oils, sauces and chocolate that reviewers call handy for last minute gifts. Others mention a quiet side street, a running club that gathers outside on weekends, and regulars who bring their dog. The one recurring catch is that pastries sell out quickly, especially on a Sunday when the running club arrives, according to one reviewer. Another notes that card payment tips go to the staff.

“The pastries look really nice. The owner is a lovely guy. I had an iced vanilla coffee which was good and refreshing as well as an apricot , almond and raspberry compote tartelette which was truly yummy, light, great textures and flavour combinations. It’s in a quiet side street which is nice and peaceful. Can’t wait to go back !”

“Might be the best coffee in Dennistoun and one of the best in town, I can only think of another place that comes close in terms of taste and this one is a good bit cheaper. A great bunch of food items and wine for sale with some fantastic options, great for a last minute gift to friends and family!”

“I only recently discovered Daily, and I’m so glad I did! The coffee is fantastic—their flat white is easily one of the best in Glasgow. The owner and the rest of the staff are incredibly friendly, creating such a welcoming vibe. On top of the great coffee, they also sell a lovely selection of products like wine, oils, and merchandise. Highly recommend!”

“Lovely little coffee shop in Dennistoun with great coffee and selection of wines. The shop has a calm and friendly atmosphere. Overall an excellent addition to the drives!”

“This place is genuinely excellent. Really lovely and high end coffee, a good selection of wines and jarred condiments etc too. The main thing Daily has going for it though is that despite it selling specialist coffee it doesn't feel pretentious. You go in, order your coffee and have a normal Glaswegian chat with an east end guy, who makes your coffee in the correct size (no bucket of milk with a tiny drop of coffee like in the chains). And the prices are pretty chain competitive too despite the wildly higher quality. Coffee shops in the UK are, on the whole, quite expensive but if I'm paying £3.90 for a coffee either way, I'm going to the wee local guy rather than Costa. 4 stars for food is only because they're often sold out of pastries quite quickly, especially on a Sunday when the running club arrives. The food itself is lovely. And the card payment tips go to the staff. If in the area, it's worth the short detour from Duke Street or the Parade to get a really nice coffee.”
