Customer Review Summary
Arabic coffee, often called qahwa, is what reviewers return to most, described as light, fragrant and smelling of cardamom, with one noting it arrived in a silver jug with small glass cups. Close behind are the sweets: date balls (one mentions a drizzle of tahini), chocolate balls said to be made fresh in-store, and a tiramisu several single out, with one calling it the best in years and another noting it is halal. Pomegranate tea, saffron coffee, Moroccan black coffee and chai lattes also draw praise, along with a chicken dolma, a buffalo chicken panini and sahlab. Reviewers describe a calm, cosy Arabic atmosphere that reminds one of home, a good place to work with plenty of outlets, and friendly staff. Several mention how clean the space is, including the toilet. No complaints appear in the reviews. One reviewer says a staff member at the till let them use a heater on a rainy day.

“Gudea sported a lovely selection of coffees. Their black Moroccan coffee was well spiced and prepared and I loved the date balls - the drizzle of tahini on them is a great addition. The decor and atmosphere and calm and tasteful.”

“Gudea Coffee House is truly an amazing café and one of Glasgow’s hidden gems. The moment you walk in, you can feel the warm and inviting atmosphere — it’s the kind of place you instantly want to stay in for hours. The people there are incredibly nice and hospitable, which makes the whole experience even better. Their menu is full of high-quality, unique drinks you won’t find anywhere else — every single drink feels special and thoughtfully crafted. The food is also amazing, fresh, and just as impressive as the drinks. It’s also one of the best study spots — peaceful, cozy, and perfect for getting work done. If you’re in Glasgow and looking for somewhere comfortable, unique, and delicious, Gudea Coffee House is a must-visit. Highly recommended!”

“The best cafe I’ve been to in Glasgow. Great place to work, with lots of outlets. Service was amazing: Jumma behind the till went above and beyond and even let us use their heater on a rainy day! My personal favourite is the pomegranate tea. For any Muslims out their tiramisu is halal!”
