About Lee Palace
Lee Palace is a Chinese restaurant at 51-53 Main St in Glasgow, with a menu that spans Cantonese and Peking dishes and adds Szechuan Pork. Lemon Chicken sits among the familiar dishes, and chicken balls appear with chips and prawn crackers or in a snack box. Because the dishes come from several regional styles, a single order can combine food from more than one tradition. The kitchen serves evenings only, opening Tuesday to Sunday and closing on Mondays.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers are split between long-standing loyalty and recent disappointment. Several describe using Lee Palace for decades and say the food is still good, with one praising a chicken fried that includes ham and peas, and another calling it better than most local takeaways. A lunchtime three course deal also draws a positive comment, though the ice-cream was called tasteless. Staff get mixed notes: one reviewer says a team member brought an order outside to hand over, another says staff will try to fix an odd mistake, while a third found them curt. The complaints are weighty and recent. Reviewers describe a chicken maryland with bitter, rubbery chicken, overcooked bacon and a hard banana fritter, and a chow mein and chicken curry that were binned. One says delivery took far too long and arrived cold, with soggy prawn crackers and solid chicken balls, and the caller was hung up on. Another reports wrong food and an overcharge on chilli chicken. One reviewer says staff were told of allergies repeatedly and the meal was still not checked. One reports stomach pains after eating.

“Great Chinese takeaway as like most places get an odd thing wrong but staff will always try to fix if given the chance. Like most people always go back as food is always good and better than most of the others locally.”

“Really hate saying this as I have loved and used this place for FORTY YEARS, wen it was The Marigold but goin by the chicken maryland I received last night and pains in stomach i have today i will never use again..only angry with myself i did not take my £19 meal back as 90% went in the bin! Chicken was bitter and rubber..chips garbage, bacon curled up and way way over cooked, banana fritter solid on inside and batter was like sandpaper, sausage was rubber and not edible..i got portion onions and even they tasted off and wer binned. The only thing i ate HALF of was the pineaaple ring.I cannot understand how everything could be so rrealy bad and glad i hardly touched it as started getting awful stomach pains during the night and its ggota hav been that food.Id go as far as 2 say ther has gotta be something goin on in ther kitchen as food wws really VILE...Safe to say that will be last time I ever use them....end of a vvey long relationship.Something seriously needs to be looked at or this place will close, it honestly was that terrible.I hardly ever would post a review but it wws so bad I felt I had to and this is 100% my true and honest findings of that food.”

“Used for years never again advised staff of allergies repeated this numerous times. Meals were obviously not checked. Called to resolve and dealt with despicably. Worst customer care ever. Has rapidly gone downhill in the past few months. Avoid if you have any allergies.”
