Quick info
About Buck's Bar
Buck's Bar is an American restaurant at 111 West Regent Street in Glasgow, built around live rock bands and American-style fried chicken. The kitchen cooks a Nashville chicken with waffle, and a salt and chilli burger comes with Chinese curry sauce. A selection of hot sauces from around the world is on hand for sampling, so diners can adjust the heat to their own taste. The bar side of the venue serves beer and bourbon, along with cocktails such as the twister ice lolly cocktail, plus hard shakes and dirty sodas. Tables run on time slots, and there is no seating at the bar. The doors are open daily, and dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Chicken draws the most praise, from the Nashville chicken with waffle to a chicken burger and a chicken sandwich that reviewers call flavorful, moist and tender. Close behind are the mac and cheese, described as creamy, and the salt and chilli chips, with several hot sauces from around the world for those who like spice. Cocktails also get frequent mentions, including a twister ice lolly cocktail and a Nut Job hard shake, and the staff are repeatedly called friendly. The complaints are scattered but specific. One reviewer found the macaroni bland, another says the dirty sodas are very sweet, and a few call the food a bit pricy or expensive. A couple dining as a pair felt rushed by a timed table slot, with food arriving well into it and no bar seating to linger at. One Uber Eats order arrived with a cold burger, a soggy bun and soft fries. Several suggest booking ahead because weekends get busy, and many describe portions so big they could not finish them.

“The music was fabulous. The food was very good, drinks not so much. I don't recommend getting the dirty sodas as they are very sweet. The food was fab though, albeit a tad expensive. Will definitely visit again.”

“Dear Bucks Bar Team, I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent Uber Eats order. The food that arrived was far below the standard I expected from Bucks Bar. The burger was completely cold, the bun was extremely soggy, and the fries were cold and soft rather than fresh and crispy. It honestly felt as though the meal had been prepared long before it was dispatched. When customers order from your restaurant, they expect a hot, freshly prepared meal. Unfortunately, this order failed on every aspect of quality. The food was so cold and soggy that we were unable to enjoy it, and much of it had to be left uneaten. What is most disappointing is that this isn't just about receiving a bad meal—it reflects a lack of care for the customer experience. A restaurant builds its reputation on consistency and quality, and this order did not represent either. It is a shame to receive food in this condition from a restaurant with such a good reputation. I hope you take this feedback seriously, investigate what went wrong, and ensure future customers do not have a similar experience. I would also appreciate an appropriate resolution for this order. Thank you.”

“Got recommended bucks bar by a bunch of people and it really did not disappoint. Great Atmosphere, music, themeing and helpful staff. Food was in massive portions (our eyes were too big for our bellies), but did not disappoint with flavour and variety. Great cocktails (love the names) and hard shakes). Will definitely come back when in Glasgow again”

“Really good food, genorous portion. Though I've not tried that much of it. I had a chicken burger which was good. Fun cocktails, and they're 40% off Monday to Wednesday. Decor is nice to look at. I've only been twice, once for drinks and once for an early dinner. Both times have been great, the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help.”
