Venezia Exeter is a Mediterranean restaurant on the Quay at 61 Waterside, where the seating options include a table with a view of the river. The kitchen makes pasta dishes that are home cooked, and pizza is part of the menu too. For sharing, the seafood platter for two suits a pair ordering together, and other share platters sit alongside it. The restaurant is open daily, so a meal here fits into any day of the week. Its owners describe the food as prepared with care and tradition, aimed at celebrations as well as ordinary nights out.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the share platters, including a seafood platter for two described as a lovely spread, nicely presented and delicious. Close behind is the homemade pasta, with tagliatelle carbonara, lasagne and spaghetti bolognese named, followed by chocolate roulade and cannoli. Others praise the sea bass, the pizza and the chunky chips the kids loved. One reviewer says dishes can be made gluten-free, and another says the chef made a soup specially for someone in their group. Reviewers repeatedly describe friendly staff who found nothing too much trouble, and a few mention the river view, the relaxed atmosphere and a dog being welcome in the bar area. One longtime regular notes food is still served at 10pm. One lunchtime visitor ordered, found it so good they ordered more, and left calling the staff fantastic.

“Louise was so amazing today. She made my day when I was so down. #free counting session! What an amazing place, what great home cooked food, what great music and the welcoming smile of Louise made my day. So I had to leave a review to convey my appreciation cause honestly you would never find a place like this in Exeter! The owner also was so accommodating and had a long chat about the home cooked food and the amazing headchef (kinga) that did it all with a smile. Yes I spoke to all and honestly i can’t recommend this place enough. I think I just found my new local 🥹❤️”

“Probably the last decent place in Exeter where they still serve food at 10pm, and it can be made gluten-free! The staff are always wonderful; not once in the last decade have I been disappointed.”

“Visited for the time today and was very pleasantly surprised. Warmly welcomed with a choice of seating, opted for a river view. Our servers Fraser and Med were very attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We received our drinks, shortly followed by our delicious homemade pasta dishes, we had tagliatelle cabonara, lasagne and spaghetti bolognese, we followed these up with a chocolate roulade and a selection of canolis. A lovely relaxed, ambient, reasonably priced restaurant. We will definitely be returning to try their pizza as it looked fantastic.”
