“This was one of the best takeout experiences I’ve had. The food tasted fresh, flavorful, and restaurant-quality at home. I’ll definitely be ordering again whenever I’m craving”

“Ordered via Just Eat app and restaurant refused to take any responsibility for the appalling food they provided. Told by the staff member who I spoke to when I rang to complain today that the dishes were ‘really popular’ and they had sold 100 that day and I was the only one to complain. Said they’d ’have a word with chef’ and pass on my ‘feedback’ as there was nothing wrong with the ingredients. Having now read other reviews over the past few years it seems this is a commonly rehearsed response. Utterly disgusting - would rate 0 if I could. Thai green curry was unrecognisable as such. Chicken tasted off and made me sick (literally) after only a mouthful or two. Was it even chicken??? Didn’t taste like it. Pad Thai was basically noodles with soy sauce. Nothing resembling authentic flavours, textures or even common ingredients. Inedible - and to add insult to injury, the delivery took 90 minutes. Ended up in the food recycling. Thought we were getting a bargain with ‘40% off the price’ but I’d have been better off burning a £20 note - at least but wouldn’t have made me ill. But still painfully hungry due to having been unable to eat the meal. Any positive reviews must be fake. I doubt the 5* food hygiene rating is genuine either. Wish I had read Google reviews before trying it. Don’t waste your money. The restaurant is obviously a front for making lots of money for crap product.”

“I ordered a chicken massaman curry for delivery. Paya's description of their massaman; "A mild curry cooked with coconut milk, potato and cashew nuts and flavoured with cumin, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg." I've eaten this dish many times from other restaurants and this was the most disappointing version I've tasted. There was no coconut, no delicate spice. Won't be ordering that again. On a positive, the order was delivered quickly.”

“Takeaway, a fried rice and chow mein dish. Uber Eats had this place with decent reviews, only after I ordered did I check out the google reviews and see that it wasn't so great. The chow mein was with beef and was decent, the sort of thing I was looking for at least. The meat was a bit dry but wasn't terrible. The chow fan (chicken) though was very disappointing, dry chicken, dry dish in general, pretty bland and carrot that was both dry and seemingly stale. After reading the other reviews I was hoping that since I ordered such basic, staple dishes I would avoid what other people had reported but to have even a dish as basic as chow fan be so disappointing is rather tragic, the one positive thing was the quick delivery. Otherwise, mediocre.”

“First time ordering through Uber Eats. Was looking forward to this but honestly incredibly disappointed with the quality of food. Being real here, not venting for the sake of it. The lamb tastes off. Out of date and stale. The soup does not taste like authentic hot and spicy soup also. Not one to leave bad reviews but you guys need to fix up. Wasted almost £25 pounds after discount. Thank goodness i didnt pay the full price of £35. First and last time ordering from here.”

Customer Review Summary

Most reviewers describe food that missed the mark, with nasi goreng the dish named most often. One diner calls it dry, very salty and without egg, and another says it tasted of bad chilli oil. Thai dishes draw the sharpest criticism: a tom yum described as sweet and salty, a green curry unrecognisable as such, a pad thai likened to noodles with soy sauce, and a massaman with no coconut. Chinese staples fare little better, with dry chicken chow fan, tough sweet and sour chicken and chewy peppercorn squid. One reviewer reports being sick after the chicken in a green curry, and another says the lamb tasted stale. A regular says quality has slipped and the chef doesn't remember requests about chilli. Two reviewers credit quick delivery, and two five-star reviews describe fresh, flavorful food, including a lobster dish that arrived piping hot. One complainant says staff replied that the dishes were popular and offered to pass feedback to the chef.
