Customer Review Summary

Diners most frequently single out the kebabs as the standout, repeatedly describing them as delicious, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Close behind are the appetisers, praised as fresh and very tasty, while the chicken soup earns a specific mention as a favourite. Several reviews highlight the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the attentive, cheerful service, with staff noted for their helpfulness with dietary needs and genuine conversations. A recurring complaint centres on disorganisation during one evening: a long wait for drinks and starters, forgotten orders, incorrect dishes served to nearby tables, and an uncomfortably hot dining room due to non-functional air conditioning, with one reviewer explicitly stating the virgin mojito tasted like Sprite and water. One diner also reports a single toothpick delivered with bare fingers. Regulars express concern over a perceived decline in food and service quality following a change in ownership.

Edit to business’s reply : The booking was made by my son over the phone on 21 May for the birthday dinner on 23 May 2026, so the response claiming it was a same-day booking is incorrect. This only adds to the concern that management does not even appear to know which booking or evening is being referred to. Secondly, we did not arrive “one hour early” as stated. We were regular customers for a long time and fully understood how reservations work. We used to visit frequently under the previous management and never experienced issues like this before. The problem was not simply arriving slightly earlier than expected. The entire evening felt disorganised — long waits for drinks and food, forgotten items, incorrect orders at nearby tables, and a noticeable decline in both service and food quality compared to what this restaurant used to offer. It is disappointing because this genuinely was one of our favourite places in the past, which is why the experience stood out so negatively. This place used to be one of our favourites. We would visit every week or two because we loved both the food and the staff. Unfortunately, our recent experience in May 2026 , when we visited to celebrate a birthday, was very disappointing. Despite booking two days in advance, it seemed as though the staff were not expecting us. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived, and service felt disorganised from the start. Drinks took a very long time to arrive, and one person's drink was forgotten completely. We were never asked whether we were happy with our drinks either. The quality of the food and drinks also appears to have declined since the change in management/ownership. The virgin mojito tasted more like Sprite and water than an actual mojito. If a drink cannot be made properly, it would be better to be upfront about it. We waited almost an hour for our starters, which consisted of only a few simple dishes. We arrived at 6:35pm and our starters didn't arrive until around 7:30pm, despite there being very few occupied tables in the restaurant. To make matters worse, a table that arrived around 20 minutes after us received their mains before we did, even though they ordered similar dishes. They also had to send food back because they received the wrong sides. The restaurant was also extremely uncomfortable due to the heat. The air conditioning appeared not to be working properly, making it hotter inside than outside, despite the door being left open. Considering it was around 30°C outside and the kitchen was operating at full capacity, the temperature inside was unbearable. It's sad to write this review because we genuinely used to enjoy coming here and recommended it to others. The previous food quality and service were excellent, but sadly our latest visit was nowhere near the standard we had come to expect. After this experience, we won't be returning 😔It's disappointing to see a place we once loved decline so much, and we hope management takes customer feedback seriously and makes improvements.

I really haven't had such a delicious and attentive Turkish food experience in a long time! The atmosphere is warm and friendly, one feels like one is at a family table in Turkey. Each of the dishes was magnificent individually; especially the kebabs were just right, and the appetisers were fresh and very delicious. The service was incredibly interested and cheerful, every detail was taken care of. It is a place that everyone who misses real Turkish cuisine in England should definitely try it. I will definitely come again!👏👏👏👏

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Every listing is re-checked on a recurring crawl, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
