  “Amazing menu. Lots to choose from, with vegan and vegetarian options as well as a separate menu for allergy requirements. Atmosphere is brilliant, relaxed and wonderful decor. Dog friendly and great for families. Natalie is the most wonderful and kind person you will meet. Attentive and welcoming to all. Nothing is ever too much of a bother for her and she is hilarious. An absolute credit to the place. I can easily spend all day here because of her mannerism alone.”

  “Absolutely love Novo Lounge! Great for any occasion whether it’s breakfast or lunch with the children, hen dos or group get togethers. The cocktail offer is brilliant and I’ve definitely taken full advantage of it — every one I’ve tried has been lovely. The food is really nice too, I’ve had both the breakfast and tapas and would highly recommend both. Good value for money, friendly and approachable staff, and always a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!”

  “Went for a meal out at Novo lounge with a few friends and my partner. The food was decent, very similar to the other 'lounge' restaurants I have been to. All staff were polite and helpful.”

  “This place has gone down hill. Not overly impressed with the lack of communication when low on stock or the fact someone had enough time and energy to burn cauliflower then still send it out like that was fine to do so. The last time I was here to eat in, I ordered a vegan breakfast. The first turned up with egg on it. The second try had milk butter on the toast and the last try was missing beans and two mushrooms. I was not happy then to top it off the excuses came flooding in. Would have been better to get the order correct before trying to blame someone not at the table to defend themselves (I.e the chef) No confidence to come back anymore. The fun is over”

  “Had a really lovely evening at Novo Lounge. The atmosphere in the evening is warm and relaxed without feeling stuffy, which made it perfect for a casual date night. Starters were strong. The Louisiana BBQ wings were sweet but not overpowering with a mild smokiness that worked well. The roasted red pepper queso had a proper kick and warmth to it, especially with the tortilla chips. The lamb kofte on the small plates were slightly dry, though the sauce helped, and they were definitely redeemed later on the mezze grill. The Mediterranean mezze grill was good value for money and generous in portion size. The paprika on the chips was a little heavy for my taste but nothing that spoiled it. Desserts finished things off nicely. The churros were crisp and fresh, just slightly heavier on the cinnamon than the sugar for us. Overall, a genuinely enjoyable evening with good food, fair pricing and a relaxed atmosphere. Would happily return.”

  “Very disappointing visit. We came as a family of five on Sunday . The service was poor from the start — coffees were ordered with milk on the side, which was not brought, and my daughter’s juice was forgotten completely. The food arrived quickly but was underwhelming. The Avocado Egg dishes were served with two very small, extremely thick slices of bread; one portion even came with a dry, thick crust end and had to be returned. The Egg Salmon was the biggest letdown:no presentation at all, a minimal amount of salmon, and one of the eggs was hard-boiled instead of poached. One of the two eggs was completely overcooked, which ruined the dish. I would not return, despite this being a favorite place for our family in the past. Very disappointing.”

  “Novo Lounge in Harlow has OK food, but the real fun is in all of the events that they run. We very much like attending their Quiz Night on thursdays. They also run a book club night, a Salsa Dancing night, and many more activities that bring a lot of lively fun. The cocktails are fantastic too. We have written about both the food and the Quiz Night on our blog, Life with Jupiter and Dann.”

  “Whats happened here? Terrible meal this afternoon. Came in for brunch and left feeling robbed. Undercooked egg full of water. 6.50 for 3 small bits of over cooked halloumi fries. Opinion rings clearly cooked in old oil as you can taste it. 36 pound for overcooked or under cooked food. Outrageous. Then after me speaking to server my partner sees them looking over and laughing about the complaint I made about 3 burnt Halloumi fries. Get better service and food in spoons.”

  “I really loved my Buddha bowl with chicken. The pickled vegetables were great and I liked the Persian grains. It filled me up and I didn't even want pudding. The other two meals weren't as good as the eggs were over cooked and not runny as they should be and the beans in the breakfast were cold. Overall I was happy with the fast service and the surroundings give you plenty to talk about.”
